The sunrises are so pretty in the mornings. Soon it will be dark I suppose. But God greets me in this season with beautiful skies and also beautiful artwork and colors when I cross the lake and the water and the sky form a fusion of pastel colors. Prepping for a Fall Dinner Party for Our Life Group
We worked so hard this weekend cleaning and cooking and getting ready for our life group on Sunday. It’s always fun us working on a project like this but by 3 p.m. yesterday I was worn out and was tired the entire day on Sunday. I wasn’t sure I had any life left for the party itself. I’m not sure our place is “ideal” for parties because of Dexter. Maybe some should have thought we should put them up in the back or something but none of us would have had any peace as they would have barked loudly the entire time. A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett and Mind is Exploding with So Much Going On
We are behind, mainly because of me. But our tribute to Jimmy Buffett, was to eat a “cheeseburger in paradise” as defined by his song, and to listen to his music, while talking about what his music meant to us. The burger was excellent. We tried to imagine a sailor (easy for me) trying to get by on carrots and celery while fishing the elements and sailing the mighty seas, and then coming to port, and letting it all loose and ordering a really hearty burger!
