The Busiest Weekend Ever
Our Friday night started with me doing laundry so that I would have half a chance of finishing our weekly 6 loads of 2 darks, 1 color, whites, towels, and sheets. I began fussing Friday night, knowing I was going to have to race and fight the clock to get things done. All week long I’d imagined that we’d be leaving around 11 Saturday to start our shopping excursion and then would have some of the morning. At least that is what we have always done in the past. George’s Birthday Gifts
Saturday was George’s Birthday. We celebrated for meal #1 Friday night with Mom. We had her over to the house to see the dogs and let them love on her and she them. And watched George open his gifts and then we headed out to dinner at Martin’s BBQ. We wanted to go to Big Bad Wolf but it’s hard to find them open when we are off. Mom wants to take him out and we will go to Oscar’s Tacos Wednesday night since I will already have picked Mom up on Wednesday as she has an eye glasses fitting appointment. Making a Quiche and Working Hard in the House
Ahhhh, what a nice weekend but a busy one. It was nice Saturday knowing we had the whole day. I did my normal Saturday routine since I was home to do it. Five loads of laundry plus I started on extras like blankets and then today I have sheets going as I changed the sheets on both beds. I made the quiche above, having gone to the store on Friday night for the missing ingredients. I can mark it off of the bucket list now. The taste was awesome.
