    Vacation Booked with Family | Life is Getting Expensive

    Good morning. Well, we’ve outdone ourselves, literally. We have a condo booked, air flights booked, car booked and we’ll get to see our family another time this year. God has heard my cry and plea to see them and not wait for September. And He has heard my plea to see his beautiful ocean and to eat Seafood and be apart of a seaside community for a few days. I’m looking at it like it’s the other half of our weekly vacation. We had a half week in San Antonio in March. This kinda seals the travel deal for us for the rest of the year. I’m hoping the Lord…

    Tortilla Pizzas, Frozen Raspberries, Painting Kit for a Granite Countertop, and Boycotting Grocery Prices

    Since going to Slim and Huskies a few weeks ago I suggested we try and make tortilla pizzas ourselves. Well it worked beautifully. You brush olive oil on the tortilla and then the sauce and cheese and decorate however you want it with your favorite toppings. Mine had pepperoni, chicken (from frozen grilled chicken tender slices), green bell pepper, and chives, and mozzarella cheese and I sprinkled parmesan on top. Last night we had them for a 2nd time as we still had the fixings to use up. George had a few other ingredients on his like jalapeño and banana peppers. This makes the pizza seem a little less fattening.…

    Quarter End Crunch, Mom’s Ailments, and Electronic Goods

    The world is at our fingertips this morning! Or is it? Maybe the world has us by our toenails. I guess it’s a matter of perspective. It’s mid-week. Big things are looming. Quarter end – is going very slowly this time. System program failures causing things not to balance. And I’m behind on it now, having lost precious hours seeking what needed to be found, waiting on data, leaving for appointments and all. Even though the doc appt time has been made up already across the month twice over at other times. But I’m looking at some very long days for Thursday and Friday to finish the crunch week out.…
