    /Sk/unk Visit Skunk Encounters Our Saturday morning began with “close encounters of the stinky kind”. There was a skunk in our back yard and side yard, while we were in the front yard. We saw him but we still needed to take the dogs out. So we kept an eye out! Then I lost where he went and he went in the bushes somewhere around our house.     Our Winter Northern 55 Latitude Dinner Party with Friends, Food and Drinks, and Table Decor

    We’ve been planning this Northern Latitude party for several months now. Mainly just planning a fun time with friends, but in order to narrow down the food line up we have started coming up with the themes and then making our party around that. When it’s around Christmas time (usually after the busy-ness of the holidays) we throw in our gift exchange. So I saved out any white decor, bought a few shiny, icy, snowy things for the table decor, bought some cute deer, b/c I like them and we have lots in our neighborhood.     Stormy Afternoon, Sangrita, Findlay’s Emergency Surgery, and a Maisy Dream

    Thankfully the storms were not too bad. However, this little monster outside the window did NOT make me brave. I waited til it had time to pass and go on before I left. There was not enough “sheer” in the atmosphere for a full development of a tornado. It wanted to, but the ingredients were not there to finish it off – thank goodness. I drove home from work in a mostly dry situation but as I neared Mount Juliet the gully washers came upon me from the next rain pocket.
