Family Gathering, Table Decor, and a Cold White Christmas
Well, it was a very nice Christmas Eve day for our family gathering on this cold and snowy day. George and I hopped to it this morning to get everything done to pull off a Noontime Christmas Eve meal instead of a 5 p.m one due to our snowy and icy roads. This way in case the roads were not cleared yet, everyone would for sure get home by dark. George went and got Mom, Aunt Martha, and Uncle Ken and then later took them back before dark. Recharging my Soul, Dexter’s Demolition Project, and Reorganizing my Jewelry Armoire
The weekend was pretty awesome, not having to be anywhere on Saturday and only half the day Sunday. Having a day at home is the KEY to my psyche being in a good place. And sadly, it doesn’t happen very often. On a day at home, I feel I can be me, be free. I love to clean and organize our house, do our laundry, and enjoy the simple routines. If I had more days at home, I would enjoy planning and fixing meals and being more crafty, organizing and cleaning more, and having time to be more thrifty. So Saturday my heart was at peace. Rosemary Haul from the Yard, Weekend Relaxation, Dexter Dog’s Lonely Anxiety, and a Bread Recipe
George has harvested some of the rosemary. It was quite the drawer full. That is a file folder drawer that used to be in my office before I upgraded. The smell is so wonderful. I’ve taken some to work in baggies and it has provided us with some good laughter. It looks like we are dealing in something other than rosemary. lol. I put it in sacks and envelopes and file folders as to not get attacked over it, verbally or physically! lol! Looks pretty funny drying in the sunroom as well. Sunday went pretty well.
