Flying Home Amid Corona Virus Fears
There have been too many gray days! Even on our trip. We packed up yesterday. There was a dismal feeling in the air – our trip was ending, we would be going our separate ways, the Corona Virus and it’s doomdem was still hanging in the air, and we had a day of travel ahead of us- in the face of many germs and possibly the virus itself. We had planned out our schedule the day before. Last Day in Tulsa and Headed Home!
We have had a wonderful trip. We are at the airport now which is eerily empty. We had a great time yesterday all around Tulsa shopping, trying brews, and then finally an Italian dinner! A rainy day at first and mostly cloudy the rest of the day. I had asked God to calm our fears and I believe He did find ways all day! We happened upon a tea room that allowed for quiet meditation. At the Airport… Here We Go..
Well I am writing from the airport. I have, as you know been very anxious as there have been so many things to consider and keep up with for this trip. I won’t repeat myself too much, but… I do have my wipes, hand sanitizer in purse. Everything is in bags or checked bag. Made it thru before interstate closed as they are still restoring power and lights from tornado with rolling closures. Security had no waiting at airport. However there are a lot of folks at the gate. But lighter than normal. Met a girl at our parking shuttle hut who is going home to DC from Sewanee college…
