Hurricane Strength Storms, Quarter End, Mom’s Birthday, and Mechanical Dogs
Much to my surprise, we had not just the summer thunderstorms but a full on extreme weather event with hurricane 1 winds of 90+ miles per hour. I think we had 30+ trees down in our own immediate neighborhood of 4 streets or so. Just complete trees blown over from the roots. Mom’s Dog Fancy, Has Passed
Fancy Girl Passed Away at 17. Yesterday was a sad day. Momma lost her little Fancy girl. She passed Monday night around 9:30 p.m. after a rough day of coughing and uneven breathing. Mom called me Monday afternoon and asked me to make a vet appt for Tuesday to put her down if needed so she would not continue to suffer. The earliest appointment was Wednesday. But Fancy passed on her own, which is a blessing and what Mom had wanted. She suffered little, but just had a bad day or so. Cold Noodle Dish, Dog Troubles, and Quarter End Crunch
George fixed cold noodle with fresh veggies. It was good. “Cold Noodle” is a favorite of mine and a great summer dish. I couldn’t tell you for sure what all is in it, but I imagine he put sesame oil, a bit of hot chili oil and some kind of vinegar and other asian sauces. It was so pretty I had to take a pic.
