Trying to find some NORMAL amidst CHANGE
Good morning! This is just me, this week, going through a lot to get Mom ready and set up for Assisted Living. There is a LOT to the process and we are showing that week to week in the videos. This week we are finalizing paperwork, medical appointments, and Mom’s own tour of assisted living. We try to get things done at home as well as attempt to find some normal living in between the chaos. Watch the week HERE.

Unwelcome Surprise this Week and Planning Mom’s Move
Thursday, May 14 Well, sometimes things don’t go quite as planned. We have to accept that. I’m having a little mini crisis. Since about 8:30 last night, about an hour after dinner, I began having a sharp pain in my left side. I’m familiar with it. It’s some type of colon flare I get – it’s rare now when I get it and short lived. Sometimes I can just ignore it and it will go away. But this time it’s being a little persistent bugger. I was able to sleep since I took Tylenol, but awoke to pain again this morning at 4:00. I drank a whole glass of water…

Busy Week: Paperwork For Mom’s Assisted Living and More
Sunday May 3, 2026 I wanted a place to be in my mind so I picked this scene above. I really like this porch. How cool is it that you can open up the window in the kitchen and be able to pass plates and food to the back porch. I know, I know flies in the house. That’s the reality. I always want to be in nature, but then….bugs happen. I’m not sure what is wrong with me today. I am quiet, reserved, and just not really in a very good mood. I try to stay positive but there’s a lot of stuff in my memory coming back to…
