    Charlie Daniels Park Market Night and Other Updates

    We had a great time last night. We headed out to Charlie Daniel’s Park here in Mount Juliet for Market Night. I think we primarily were interested in the Food Trucks more than the market night on this particular night, as our pics reveal, lol. I got a burger and was very happy to have it. I didn’t order fries until she said “you get a side” and I was unprepared so just said “fries”, darn it. I love fries, and it hurt my soul (NOT) to have to eat them. They were good too.     Good Eats, Texas News, and also Some Bad News

    We have eaten really well this week! Meals cooked by Chef George! I found a recipe above for pasta and chicken with spinach, lemon juice, wine, and parmesan. And tomato I think. I love this kind of pasta with a light lemony sauce. I like to throw a bit of chicken broth in too. George added toasted sour dough cheese bread. Below is his jambalaya. Very good.     Good Eats and Bad Relationships

    We tried to go to Leon’s Deli in Mount Juliet Friday night only to be disappointed that they close at 4:00. So we ended up going to Smiley Thai (and spending way more) but George got his sushi bowl in and I got my yellow curry chicken which is like comfort food to me. Theirs is so good. This is a favorited place in our area, but it was early at 5:30 ish and the parking lot was already full. Had it been later we’d have probably gone somewhere else.
