Charlie Daniels Park Market Night and Other Updates

We had a great time last night. We headed out to Charlie Daniel’s Park here in Mount Juliet for Market Night. I think we primarily were interested in the Food Trucks more than the market night on this particular night, as our pics reveal, lol. I got a burger and was very happy to have it. I didn’t order fries until she said “you get a side” and I was unprepared so just said “fries”, darn it. I love fries, and it hurt my soul (NOT) to have to eat them. They were good too. George got a Korean BBQ type of bowl. I almost got one but decided I wanted something from the grill. He enjoyed it. We like us a food truck adventure. We used to get out and find them back when Katy was home, but I guess since George retired, we had extra things going on with Mom, we really haven’t been out much. It’s been fine, as you know I can be a homebody these days and enjoy being home. But when we get out and do stuff, it makes me remember so many things we used to do.

Here is me wearing a hat that I bought not too long ago. It looks so odd for me to wear a hat. But I’ve recently decided I don’t care and will wear them more. So George encouraged it. I mainly wanted to keep the cicadas and the sun off my head. I was already wearing black so it went with the outfit. I enjoyed wearing it. George and I were not paired appropriately. He was in gym shorts and a tee and I was in work attire – business casual.

Look at this…how fun for the kids. They were playing in SOAP SUDS! ha.

And George took me afterwards for a surprise….ice cream!

This morning I took pics of the wild flowers he planted in an old iris bed that never really bloomed well. These are so pretty. I’m impressed with his sudden green thumb.

He texted me today with this pic of Maddie with the words “The Queen on her throne”, lol.

So this week has worn me out. There’s nothing in particular that should have done it. Just waking up starts the day off wrong, lol. I need to be sleeping til 6:00. I am always worn out just getting up at 5:08! It used to be 4:00 and then 4:30 and now it’s 5:08!

Ceiling Repairs are Done in Basement

So the ceiling repair guys came and did the remodel downstairs redoing the ceiling and repainting it and adding in the lighting fixtures. Only they did not put up two of the light fixtures. They had misunderstood I think. But it’s ok. George let it go as we have to have an electrician come out soon anyway to do a few things. But it looks pretty good. It’s not perfect, but it looks a lot better. The bad news is you can see where the problems were. I don’t really know how if they replaced the dry wall why there would then still be an indention in the ceiling where the problem was? But I guess they didn’t put in a whole new piece of ceiling in those spots but just patched it. My guess is we were overcharged a bit if they did that. But anyway, it looks so much better. George is happy so we’ll be happy with sub par then because it really is 90% better. I think George is irritated with me for noticing, but you know, you CAN still tell as the ceiling is indented and warped in those areas where they had to cut the ceiling out. Oh I will quit moaning b/c I’ll be called the pessimist for seeing it with its imperfections. (The glass half empty girl, being negative girl, and so forth.) But you know, it definitely IS what it IS. You can’t argue with what you can see before your very eyes. I’m just the one who noticed it for what it was. lol. My life. The journalist. Forever pointing out imperfections everyone else wants to sweep under the rug!

Over and out and I’ll post the new video tomorrow. We’ll be getting ready for life group on Sunday. George has cleaned all his piles and did the floors so I’m forever thankful.

I’ve also been doing more research on narcissism in case it’s needed. Still healing, grieving, angering, shedding it, letting it go, forgiving. It’s all still going through it’s forever circle of cycles.

I also have a massive headache coming on. It’s kinda near my right temple and above my right ear. It comes and goes.

And I’m gone to enjoy my Friday night, with a glass of wine, now that my coffee cup is empty. Have a great weekend everyone!
