Kicking the Winter Blues
It can be a struggle this time of year as we anticipate spring, new life, and a revival of all things refreshing and green! I struggle in Feb and early March so I know the blues are going to try to set in as I get impatient for warmer temps. I’m sharing with you how I’m getting by. I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a struggle – even since I filmed this video. Most of my struggles have been time based though and not a lack of sunshine. But still, these things apply. The Makings of a Happy Week
Sunday, January 11, 2026 I started journaling in a book called “52 Lists for Happiness”. I was planning on writing just once a week in it, but it was fun and quick, so perhaps I can squeeze it in daily. Here was today’s list. Contentment: Love it When Things Come Together
Today as I’ve worked in the house, sipped coffee, fixed breakfast, did some planning, updated the list, paid Mom’s bills, and did my exercising – I’ve noticed a new bright feeling. It’s hard to put a name to it but can best be described as contentment, happiness, and a feeling of “not being so behind” and more of a feeling of accomplishment or getting closer to doing what I’ve intended.
