    Kicking the Winter Blues

    It can be a struggle this time of year as we anticipate spring, new life, and a revival of all things refreshing and green! I struggle in Feb and early March so I know the blues are going to try to set in as I get impatient for warmer temps. I’m sharing with you how I’m getting by. I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a struggle – even since I filmed this video. Most of my struggles have been time based though and not a lack of sunshine. But still, these things apply.     Medical Dilemmas and Depression Over THAT!

    Good morning lovelies. I fixed a lovely pasta dish yesterday with ground chicken, white wine, chicken broth, olive oil, garlic, parmesan cheese and seasonings (tarragon, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes) and garnished with parsley and more parmesan. I also added in a cup of pasta water that it boiled in, a TBSP of vinegar, and a little honey for sweetness. I steamed veggies in the chicken broth also, with a bit of butter, red pepper flakes and a dash of salt and a lot of pepper and then cut up some cold fresh tomato on top.     Random Week in Retirement | This Week’s Update

    Well we had a fun little time in Columbia, my old hometown where I grew up, but it did make my heart heavy as there was not only good times there but some heartbreaking times as well. So a little heavy at times. We had company over as Aunt Martha and Uncle Ken were up from Florida (Yulee/Amelia Island area) near Jacksonville. We enjoyed getting to see them.
