Chinese Take Out, Life Group Gathering, and No More Drama
Well, our BIG GOAL for this weekend has been accomplished. We had our life group over today. All came but one couple, who was traveling. There’s five of us couples in the group. So Friday night we had to go to the store to get the fresh ingredients. Next door to the grocery store, there is an excellent Chinese Restaurant. So we bought enough food for Fri and Sat nights. Our Winter Northern 55 Latitude Dinner Party with Friends, Food and Drinks, and Table Decor
We’ve been planning this Northern Latitude party for several months now. Mainly just planning a fun time with friends, but in order to narrow down the food line up we have started coming up with the themes and then making our party around that. When it’s around Christmas time (usually after the busy-ness of the holidays) we throw in our gift exchange. So I saved out any white decor, bought a few shiny, icy, snowy things for the table decor, bought some cute deer, b/c I like them and we have lots in our neighborhood. A German Meal with Friends and Reasons to Love Monday
What a grand time we had at our friend’s, D & L’s, yesterday. Fabulous time! Table decor very pretty. We ended up having a German-themed meal complete with Grilled Lamb and Brats, German potato salad, orzo veggie salad, and German beer and wine. The lamb had been marinated. It was similar to Sauerbraten – I think. Yes that would include bacon there in that German salad and fresh parsley from George’s herb garden! 😉 Don knows I love Kolsch and had warned me ahead of time that it was waiting for me!
