She is happy as a clam! We went Monday morning for the walk through, called “The Welcome Home” tour. It is bright and sunny. There were a few things still remaining that had not been completed or that we found needed to be worked on. Today’s the Day to See the New House Inside / Our Halloween Night Out
Today is the day! Excitement is in the air as Mom and I get to see her new house today. It’s not hers until closing on Friday though. I tried to relax this weekend and do what I wanted, knowing that the next few months are going to be probably the busiest holiday season of our lives. I’m excited for Mom. I hope she gets to live here a while. I hope we can enjoy helping her piece it together instead of wearing all of us out. I am both excited and yet set with fear. Sigh of Relief, Broken Mirror, and Settling In
Good morning (afternoon/evening). I can’t tell you the ::sigh:: of relief we ALL feel for move #1, Phase #1, of Project Momma. We still have the truck to take back and then the final sigh can be had. All went well but…the mirror in the back of one of the China cabinets broke when George had to set it down hard as it shifted from the dolly.
