    Yesterday, instead of doing Christmas decor, I decided it best to go on and get Mom over to the new place and do the Christmas decor Saturday. I’ll be a day behind on the decorating and I might have to short cut some of it, but it is what it is. I can decorate better when there is less going on in the house, so it sounded like a better plan. So much to my surprise we had two full car loads of Mom’s stuff and could have used a 3rd and 4th if we had included the remnants of the basement too, with the fragile lamps and clocks. We…

    Candied Rib in Mount Juliet, McKay’s Haul, Czann’s New Nashville Brewery, and Our Bucket List Update

    We really enjoyed our day yesterday. I was feeling a bit of anxiety not having much time at home this weekend. I did manage to get the laundry washed (not folded and nothing ironed), but we sure enjoyed our time celebrating George’s birthday. (See previous blog entries over the last few days.) Now it’s time to fast! lol. We went to the Candied Rib after church yesterday. The food was great. They are newly opened and are not serving their entire menu yet.     Wow, this new brewery has been open for a year – opened as the Pandemic started. We have kept close in most of the year to our area, and this is about 25 minutes out from our house. We didn’t even realize it was here. But they survived and seemed to be going strong. We arrived yesterday at 11:05 just after they opened. Many breweries don’t open til afternoon. This one serves food though and not just appetizers so they were open for the lunch crowd.
