Sharing With You…The Week of the Surprise Surgery

Here’s the video to the past week or so leading up to the surprise appendectomy. You can watch it here.
All is going well. It’s been a pretty good week of recovery. I’m sandwiched between 1) trying to catch up at work (from year end and from having this issue) and 2) trying to get things done before we head out to Texas. It’s odd living in limbo. And then there is Mom hanging over there in “left wing” giving me long lists of everything she wants to do (I’m her taxi) as if she is afraid we are going to forget about her. She is trying to make me feel rushed, guilty – the usual. But unfortunately we all are just in limbo right now and doing the best we can. My daughter is about to give birth soon. And I’ve had this appendicitis, but George took her groceries last Sunday amidst trying to watch over me. I’m taking her for a long day out tomorrow of church, lunch, mani/pedi, Lowe’s, T-Mobile, and groceries. I hope I can survive the long day. And after that she will have no choice but to be patient til we can get down and back from TX.
I’m also working on a separate video that will probably go live on Tuesday or Wednesday, from the day I was released and how everything went in the hospital and my thoughts on it. And then another one coming next Saturday, about the Post Op Recovery week. Today I’m filming a Marie Kondo continuation of going through my chest of drawers, purses, shoes, socks, scarves, coat closet, etc. But like I say, Katy’s already dilated to 3. She is scheduled to be induced before long but she could go at any time really in the next few days so we are in limbo. At some point I’ll be behind in the videos more than likely, but I’ll at least keep you informed.
I’ll keep you posted. Ok so back to the video. You can watch how the week went down here.
Enjoy your Saturday.

Thank you dear Sonya forever attempting the Vlog this week. You really are amazing. Most people would still be taking it easy after the operation you’ve had. As for Mum, please just keep telling her that you’re doing MORE than you should be including trying to keep her happy. She should be so grateful that you’re doing so much for her. Keeping fingers crossed that you won’t have to wait much longer for baby to arrive. I presume you are flying down ? Do you know how long you hope to stay after baby is born ? Is George coming home first for the dogs etc ….Anyway love prayers are going with you. Take care. Please give Kate my love…

We are driving. Dogs will be boarded. We will be out there a week or so depending how it falls. Thanks for your continued prayers.

Boy you’ve really been through a lot. I hope you will be able to eat what you want to without it hurting you. Poor George with his hurt knee too. It has been raining here which causes arthritis to flare.
Wonder how much Katy’s baby will weigh. I know she will be happy to see you after baby arrives. Then you will have two wonderful grandsons to hold . Grandkids are such a blessing.
Take care and try no to do too much. You’re still healing from surgery.

Thank you. I think the baby is already pretty big! Can’t wait to see him.
