    Sharing With You…The Week of the Surprise Surgery

    Here’s the video to the past week or so leading up to the surprise appendectomy. You can watch it here. All is going well. It’s been a pretty good week of recovery. I’m sandwiched between 1) trying to catch up at work (from year end and from having this issue) and 2) trying to get things done before we head out to Texas. It’s odd living in limbo.     Each Day Hopefully Better

    Reading, editing, sleeping, petting the dogs, and doing laundry have been the to do items the last two days, following the appendectomy. I have a “grabber” that has helped with the laundry as I can’t bend too far over. Today was about 10-20 % improvement over yesterday. Not quite as sore, not as hard to get from seated to standing, not as painful when I cough. Morale better than yesterday too. Yesterday I felt like I was going to take forever to feel better. Today gave me hope. Yesterday was a bit boring as I didn’t feel like doing much and too uncomfortable to sleep, which had to be done…

    Maddie is Recovering But What is Wrong With Me?

    Maddie says “good morning” in her very dazed-but-coming-around-state. She is now “fixed” and “chipped”. She was really out of it yesterday when we picked her up. We had a little scare early in the day when I found blood in the bed where she lays. I thought she was in heat. But they said she was not swollen or anything and so they did the surgery. I had a huge workload/backload of work to do. I had been gone on Wednesday for part of the day to take Mom to get her glasses.
