Cicada’s are Here, Hot in the Office, and Sharing Summer Bucket List
It’s about to begin. We are about to be graced with these cicadas. Every 13 years. I’m convinced that is why 13 is a bad luck number. This is the first one seen. George saw it on the sun room screen a couple of days ago. He sent it to me while I was work and said “they’re heeeeeere”! Bye Summer Decor, Eating Well, Sweltering Office with NO A/C, and Tick Removals
Over the weekend, I said good-bye to some of my greenery to make room for the fall decor. The kids were in town but we had Saturday and I had most of Sunday after church since it was George’s “divide and conquer” day to take Mom to the store. Of course I had way more on my list as usual than I was able to get done. But I was happy to get all the fall decor out and get everything dusted. “From the Sea” Theme Party with Octopus and Shrimp
We had a fabulous time with our dear friends Don, Lisa, and Dillon (whom we claim to be family) on Saturday. Our theme this time was “From the Sea”. George made two kinds of shrimp. So very tasty for our appetizer. And of course the mug in the back there held some cocktail sauce. The shell dish is one that my Aunt Martha and Uncle Ken gave us.
