    Hurricane Ian Impacting Friends and Family | Relaxing but Busy Weekend Ahead

    My heart goes out to those Floridians that are having to deal with this storm and its aftermath and also to those who are in its path in FL, GA, and SC. Paul and Judy who we have hung out with many times over the years, picked the Rotunda West area because the storms rarely come through there. They had moved and were working on their new (to them) retirement house. They have not seen their house but they believe there will be some damage as they were near the eye and on a canal.     A Fondue “Fun Do” Evening and Productive Sunday

    Sunday night, George fixed an amazing set up for Fondue! The meats included chicken, steak, and kielbasa. Veggies were broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms. We each had 4 fondue forks. It was best if we each used 3 quite honestly. There were 3 of us and so anywhere from 9 to 12 sticks at once. Having only 9 worked better than 12! lol. The sauces left to right: “Granda sauce” which is really ketchup and Worcestershire sauce mixed, mustard and horse radish, barbecue sauce, creamy horseradish sauce, and curry sauce. My favorites are the curry and the creamy horseradish. I dip my kielbasa in the mustard and horseradish mix. The chicken…

    Vietnamese Pho, Hurricane Laura Remnants, Shopping, and Sleep

    Miss Laura will be passing over us today. Gusts of 20 to 30 supposedly from The Weather Channel at last night’s forecast. Already we have had a wave of storms roll through as we went to Walmart last evening. We went to eat Pho last night before shopping and it was really good. We got fresh spring rolls. We are going to try to make these at home. We had a nice time. It was nice and healthy except for maybe a lot of starch in the rice noodles, lol. I think it needed a few more veggies!
