    Managing a New Puppy, Getting Organized, and Weekend Update

    Well the nice comforter has been exchanged for a quilt turned inside out since the color scheme doesn’t match and a little extra layer of a short quilt throw. Not seen are the towels underneath it all. The goal being if there is some kind of accident in bed, we’ll be covered and maybe not have to remove ALL the bedding. The good news is nothing has happened since he is over the digestive issues. The original comforter though had all kinds of smells on it in which he promptly marked. I have washed it but have decided not to put the good one one unless we have company or…

    Tortilla Pizzas, Frozen Raspberries, Painting Kit for a Granite Countertop, and Boycotting Grocery Prices

    Since going to Slim and Huskies a few weeks ago I suggested we try and make tortilla pizzas ourselves. Well it worked beautifully. You brush olive oil on the tortilla and then the sauce and cheese and decorate however you want it with your favorite toppings. Mine had pepperoni, chicken (from frozen grilled chicken tender slices), green bell pepper, and chives, and mozzarella cheese and I sprinkled parmesan on top. Last night we had them for a 2nd time as we still had the fixings to use up. George had a few other ingredients on his like jalapeño and banana peppers. This makes the pizza seem a little less fattening.…

    We Rescued our Forever Pup, Finally!

    Well guess what! Meet Dexter! Our little beagle mix 10 week old puppy. He is Mr. Distinguished. So he is a laid back doggie. And he’s a bit not feeling well in a reaction to the meds they give them when they come in to the agency. So his last dose of that was this morning. He should rebound from there (I hope) and the vets are closed so we can’t get him in to see vet to schedule the rest of his shots and treatments until Tuesday at the earliest but some time this week. I am shocked as I really wasn’t sure we’d see one to come home…
