Life Reset: The Week I Tried to Get My Life Back
The Week Everything Blew Up Coming off of a very busy time period in which my Mom had two heart procedures, a LOT of appointments, two hospital stays, home health care interviews —-> that morphed into a move to assisted living, and going through her house and prepping for an estate sale……I decided to reset my life, enjoy doing some things we wanted and needed to do, and get our life back and then THIS HAPPENED. Fun with Family, and a Few Household Frustrations
We had a great week this week having family in town and it was much needed few days off. We still managed to get a couple of really good work days in the house. And Katy and the kids got to go see Mom. I was exhausted when the week began and over the last few days have been able to catch up on some rest even though we were crazy busy. I’m behind on so much though. I have a lot to do here in the house that has been ignored and also there are several phone calls I need to make as I’m still trying to iron some…

A Big Week of Testing at the Hospital for Mom
Monday, April 13, 2026 Well, this is the week Mom has her tests. Her big day is tomorrow. She has a CT scan and also a Carotid Ultrasound and meets with a surgeon and another heart specialist that work together to see if she is eligible for the TAVR valve replacement. She has had a lot of instructions which started today about drinking water, and what days specifically she has to stop taking meds and when she can start them again. And no caffeine after midnight. So I have alerts set on my phone to remind her of these things each day. I’m not very good at being my brain…
