A Big Week of Testing at the Hospital for Mom
Monday, April 13, 2026 Well, this is the week Mom has her tests. Her big day is tomorrow. She has a CT scan and also a Carotid Ultrasound and meets with a surgeon and another heart specialist that work together to see if she is eligible for the TAVR valve replacement. She has had a lot of instructions which started today about drinking water, and what days specifically she has to stop taking meds and when she can start them again. And no caffeine after midnight. So I have alerts set on my phone to remind her of these things each day. I’m not very good at being my brain…

Why is Life So Busy in Retirement?
Sunday, Feb 8, 2026 I’m just gonna be honest. I’m kinda stressed out right now. I shouldn’t be I don’t think but I am. First of all, the pic above was something I asked Chet to do (ChatGPT). Turned out pretty cute. Oh to have been able to do this back in the days when I was in the graphic group and blogging on AOL, lol. Little did we know what technology would come about. Life’s Frustrations, But Some Good Things Too!
We’ve been working on a lot of projects lately in advance of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I came by here to see if my Christmas header would work. It does. I was going to change it on Dec 1, but I decided I liked it and we are kinda busy, so why not just leave it? It’s not like the rest of the world isn’t decorating too.
