Kicking the Winter Blues
It can be a struggle this time of year as we anticipate spring, new life, and a revival of all things refreshing and green! I struggle in Feb and early March so I know the blues are going to try to set in as I get impatient for warmer temps. I’m sharing with you how I’m getting by. I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a struggle – even since I filmed this video. Most of my struggles have been time based though and not a lack of sunshine. But still, these things apply. The Makings of a Happy Week
Sunday, January 11, 2026 I started journaling in a book called “52 Lists for Happiness”. I was planning on writing just once a week in it, but it was fun and quick, so perhaps I can squeeze it in daily. Here was today’s list. It is not in any order of importance, but it is in the order that it came to mind, most likely based on my things that I experience most often. Things that Make Me Happy Right Now. Rainy Day Cozy: Feeling the Contentment and Peace
I am so content today. I just had to share. We slept til 7 a.m., much to my surprise. Took the dogs out this morning. Fixed coffee. I sat down to work a few pieces of the puzzle in while the coffee dripped. To my amazement, my morning mind was able to focus clearly and I worked probably 1/4 of the puzzle in one sitting, connecting huge chunks of unattached worked puzzle sections to the frame. I was also surprised to see 9:30 a.m. when I sat down to do my devo and World Bible School. George went to get the oil changed in the Honda as it was time.…
