Getting Mom’s House Ready For Sale & Life Updates
Good morning! This is the week where we needed to get Mom’s house ready for sale. We thought we had the week free, but boy we were WRONG. Plus at the end, I go over some of the games I’ve been playing and show you a bit of how they work. You can watch the vlog HERE.
I took a week off, BTW. No one really knew, but I had done two weeks of videos in a week when we had a sponsor video I needed to submit. Turns out it was great, b/c I had a week to rest (catch up) on a few things. But we are back at it.
This week, I’ve been blogging, and doing some projects in the house and have vlogged that for next weekend’s video. The upcoming week, we will be taking Mom back to Centennial for her last followup since the TAVR, decorating my house for fall, and we are starting the process to paint my office. One of my projects was moving everything out this week.
We have moved the china cabinet up that I got from Mom’s house 4 or 5 years ago and I’ve unpacked the china from Mom’s that I didn’t want to sell, packed up the old china I’m getting rid of and made the switch.
I have dealt with ear, jaw, head, tooth pain for the most of the week. It’s been unclear if it was related to recent dentist visit. And unclear if it was TMJ issue, ear issue, or tooth issue. The ear still bothers me at times, but my best guess is that it is the jaw after holding it open while they cleaned my teeth. I read where it can feel like a tooth or ear ache because the nerves are all in there together. At least the splitting head pain is gone.
I’m excited for all the fall changes to come, doing different things with our schedule, and the attempt to try to organize the days ahead so they do not become overwhelming for me. I’m also excited about the change in the types of videos we’ll be able to do. But I know in my heart it will be a very busy season. We have 2 trips now that are planned (except I have to book some hotels), and an anniversary, an office to paint, some fall stocking up we need to do, a fall life group party to throw, and hosting company at Christmas.
I am ready for this heat to go away but looks like we have at least another week going back up into the high 90’s and we’ve been watching the Ross Fire in TX as it’s the next county over from Katy and Cody, making this Momma nervous.

Interesting you were talking about TMJ
For the past few weeks I was having horrible right ear pain on and off
Been to the doctor twice and they checked my ears twice and said they’re all clear no infection no wax build up etc
So I was diagnosed with TMJ disorder from probably grinding teeth at night etc
NSAIDS good for dental / jaw pain and not speaking. Resting relaxing jaw
Trying to be conscious of natural tightening clenching of the jaw and face
It has lessened a lot over the weeks but still mildly there intermittently

Mine hurts off and on (although much better) and I think it did this last time I went to the dentist.

I couldn’t help but laugh about the message you thought was your Mom being the hallmark channel.
Enjoyed seeing the deer and your sweet dogs. They sure act very happy and content. You have a beautiful yard for them to walk in.
I’m jealous of all the good eating places you have there. George’s Birthday meal looked delicious. Hope your Mom is doing good at her new place and after her surgery. Hope your jaw and ear feels better.

Morning love, it’s so nice to read your in a more positive need, although sorry you’ve had to put up with the pain in your head etc. let’s pray it has settled down. I’m pleased to see your looking ahead to a couple of trips hope you’ve got places booked up now…it’s exciting to look ahead to time away. Mary and I really miss getting away, Mary even more than me…I’m a home bird really so quite contented and happy to stay home but I know Mary finds it hard and that’s what makes me sad as I wfould like nothing more that to take her somewhere. Must go love someone at the door. Keep smiling. Love to you and not forgetting George xx

Meowdoku has grabbed me too!. I cant understand sudoku..number challenged since childhood I have Britbox and Netflix and have really enjoyed The Other Bennett Sister and Women of Substance on Britbox. ON Netflix , I LIke My Brilliant Career. I am a big fan of the movie from 1998 Practical Magic and the sequel comes out 9/10 but I’ve already watched the first one twice. I like Fall things. Enjoy your “off days”. That’s what you retired for.
