My Retirement Bucket List: What I Want to Do
Well, if money were NO issue, here is what all I’d do in my retirement. You can watch it HERE. Maybe in reality I will get to do some of these before I die. We only have a few years, to see. Aging comes fast, mobility often is fleeting, and you never know what a day will bring. But it’s been fun talking about my dreams. What’s on your life bucket list?

I hope you get to take at least one RV trip! I got to fulfill something that has been on my bucket list last year – a trip to see the Christmas markets in Germany. It was the trip of a lifetime! We had such a great time that we are going back. A few other trips are on the agenda for the future as well, Germany in “nice” weather, Ireland, trips out west, a Viking River cruise along the Rhine and another to Alaska. We’ll see. I want to put a couple family books together on our family history. I think that’s one of my legacies to leave behind. I’m learning to speak German. At my age, not sure what I’m going to actually do with it but I love learning it. Some things are more goals I think than bucket list items. I want to read more, I used to read a lot and life just got busy the last few years, I too have a shelf of books on all different subjects I’d like to get through. I’d like to go through thousands of digital pictures and put photo books together for my son to have for the future. And there are house projects we want to do. And I’m taking more genealogy courses and attending more webinars. Some things have changed since my husband and I have retired and we’re rethinking some things together… no real desire to move back to where we always thought we would when we retired, volunteer opportunities are being re-examined as causes change. But we figure that’s okay, this is a new season of life and we’re shedding some old ideas to make way for new ones to stay fulfilled and grow and enjoy life! Hope your Mom is doing well.
