Final Day of Packing, Busy Day, Flight Early Tomorrow

Well, ok. I’m all packed and ready, except for the cosmetics and night routine. So off to Texas we go in the morning – getting up at 3:30 and ready to head out around 5:00 ish toward the airport. I’ll grab breakfast there and do my devo and World Bible School while there. I’m very excited for the week ahead.

There was a lot to do today and I’m mostly finished except that I had hoped to do more housework. Well, does anyone hope to do housework? I’m finding it hard to get it done. I was going to clean the microwave and the fan blades but may move it to when I get back home. Because….today has been busy and I’m getting tired and ready to do office work the rest of the day. I’ve been on my feet a lot.

Today I did this:

  • 4 loads of laundry so George won’t have to do it / he’ll have clean clothes
  • Repainted my toes – gosh it’s the last time as it’s so hard for me to do my own. I struggled just getting the paint off from the last time. I thought that would be the easy part.
  • Changed purses to the new canvas handbag for travel – love it!
  • Checked in and printed boarding pass for purse. Always have a back up.
  • Charged my earbuds – ok that was easy but I had to find another cube to plug it in with
  • Put a luggage tag on my backpack just in case
  • Got all my supplements ready for the next week in the pill box and took pictures of each in case I have to explain what the pills are. I was not lugging all those bottles around.
  • Paid Mom’s bills for the time I’m gone except for one so I have to take her folder with me and wait a few days and see how much that will be. Afraid it’ll be late if I wait til next week.
  • Finished packing shoes, jewelry, cooling blanket and very small pillow
  • Exercised and did an Arm day workout
  • Watered the flowers
  • World Bible School test grading and answering messages
  • Devotional – I started the forgiveness book I got for Christmas.

I still need to work on my iPad, update the apps, check for updates, and make sure I have the apps where I want it, book downloaded, etc. I’ll be using that on the plane. Have to make sure it’s charged. It loses charge pretty quickly as it’s an old one. I’m going to get another one soon. I’m trying to wait til Christmas but might buy one with my YouTube money. I kinda wish I’d bought it before my trip out there to Texas so I could play with it there, but then I don’t want to take away from time with Grandsons. Plus I’m letting my account build back up a bit.

I don’t have much of anything new to say really. Other than it’s just very HOT here. We had church yesterday, got Mom’s groceries, came home and I can’t even remember what all I did after we got home. I think I did laundry and sort of got a few things ready for the trip. I transferred over files from the memory cards and now I’m ready to edit the next vlog.

Bag packed:

A packed suitcase on a bed, containing shoes, clothing, a book by Danielle Steel titled 'Five Days in Paris', and a canvas handbag, with a bedroom background.

A hand holding a small decorative pillow with floral embroidery, surrounded by travel bags and clothing.

I’m also taking my cooling blanket and this little pillow for my neck or to hug, either one. I sleep better with a “blankie” and a “little pillow” of some sort. It fits in the suit case so why not. Also it’s not been cleared yet for me to use the guest house, so I may have to sleep on the couch. The person they have to ask is out of the country. So I probably will get to sleep in the guest house once they can communicate, but if I have to sleep on the sofa, then that’s what I’ll do. I hate to be on top of everyone but we’ll get by. There’s more room in the guesthouse and it would be more comfy for everyone. But we’ll see what happens. I’m kinda scared to sleep by myself over there but I’ve already talked myself into be fine with it. I’ll leave a few more lights on and probably a TV going overnight. If it is going to be a stormy night I told Katy I’d sleep on her sofa, lol – whatever happens, happens. We’ll make it work whatever we do.

So be praying for us please. For my flights and Katy’s travels and our travels all week. We are going to be busy because she’s busy and so we have a lot going on – Waco, Trace’s physical appointment in Abilene, and a couple of ministry events and church. We will be eating and shopping some too. But mostly I just enjoy being with them and I know it will go by fast. I am just so grateful that we can squeeze the extra time in. We are going in November I think and also talk of going back in March next year but I told George we have to do some other travel in 26 as well even if a long weekend.

Here’s my backpack and purse.

A gray backpack with an 'Isagenix' logo next to a navy blue tote bag labeled 'Sukeen', both positioned on a quilted bedspread with decorative pillows in the background.

Ok, off to go edit the next video! :-). Looking forward to vlogging more again. I’ve taken a little bit of a break and just done tidbits here and there lately.

Hope you all have a great week. I will try to blog some while I’m gone if we have time. If not there’ll be a vlog of the trip. Take care.

Have a wonderful and safe trip Sonya. Yes, very hot here. Was a real feel of 109 this afternoon in PA.

I always take a neck pillow on the plane. I fall asleep before takeoff and don’t wake up until the plane touches down at my destination.

I like to put clean sheets on my bed before I leave. There is something about coming home to my own bed with fresh, crisp sheets. And I must create a list of things to be done and packed so I can check them off. Also, I pack an extra week’s worth of medications. I can survive without the supplements, but need the prescription meds. Happened to me one time. Not again.

I pray there are no delays or gate changes. I like having the airline app on my phone to get all the alerts and not have to keep looking at the scheduling board. And most of the time I can’t understand a word over the airport intercoms.

Get a good nights rest. You have a long day ahead of you..

I’d be afraid I’d snore on the plane. George is sleeping in my bed while I’m gone on the other side so he can test out the sleep bed on his side. It’s fresh on that side lol so I’ll change them when I get home.

It was heat index of 106 I think – not sure but think I heard that.
Thanks and I’ll post some while gone. You have a great week.
