Office Clean-Out, Shows we are Watching, and More

A woman with short gray hair and a focused expression, sitting in an office setting, surrounded by organizational supplies. A small dog sits in a circular bed beside her. Text overlay reads 'OFFICE CLEAN-OUT' with bullet points for 'DECLUTTER', 'RE-ORG', and 'THROW AWAY'.

Good morning! Welcome to a chatty little vlog this morning and going through some things in my office that I’ve needed to do for a long while. DeCluttering, Reorganizing, and Throwing Away are the goals here and just plain seeing what I have. Sure I’ve organized the office before but this time we are “going through it”. I will share some things from the past as we do. You can watch it HERE.

Update

Mom had her eye injection yesterday and we ate at First Watch. Was a nice day but it’s a full day. Mom wanted to add me to an account that she and my Aunt have together so I could do the banking needs for that. It is an account that gets interest and is split between the two of them when the interest payments come in. So I had to sign my part to accept to be added. And both of them had to initial it which I had to facilitate. So we got that done too.

George had salmon for us for dinner. And then the new “watching season” has begun.

Shows we are watching together:

We are watching:

  • Somebody Feed Phil (new season is out)
  • Not Her First Rodeo
  • Waterfront (On our list to start it soon but haven’t yet)
  • America’s Sweetheart (new season is out)
  • Delicious Destinations (new to US after finishing the Zimmern List and loved it)
  • Lone Star Law (Only a few more shows left to watch)
  • White Lotus (We just started that last night after we figured out we had Max in our pkg and got signed on, lol)
  • To Catch a Smuggler (We are several seasons in – this is filler fluff for us when we want to watch something but not too deep)
  • Airport Security – I think there’s two of these, one is American and the other is International. (Same, we are several shows in and it’s a filler show for when we just need something not too deep).

Waiting for these shows:

  • Waiting for Outer Banks last season but it may be awhile as it’s still in production.
  • Waiting for Brigerton to come out but I think it may be 2026.

Alright busy day today as we are going on a little excursion – we are using up coupons for free beer and a gift card to Total Wine and treating ourselves to a fabulous lunch out. Doing a bit of vlogging.

Upcoming Videos:

  • Saturday June 28 – Living Room Update
  • Saturday July 5 – Medical Updates Vlog (includes some excursion footage)
  • Saturday July 12 – Waco footage
  • Saturday July 19 – Texas footage
  • 2nd HR Video I plan to tape while George is in Texas so it’ll be somewhat quiet in the house and it’ll be scheduled once filmed, for likely a Wednesday date (extra video), given time to edit it. So probably late July.
  • Planning to do a mid year update sometime in July – probably be another Wed video (aka extra video).

After the above, I’m looking at options for vlog subjects of which I have many. Several have requested a financial retirement video which I have reservations about doing. But will consider it. Some have requested what I eat in a week, which might be fun. I also have a whole list of options of things I want to do. 2026 will be interesting and a little different as we won’t have quiet as many house projects then but we will have a host of other things we can do. Looking forward to that.

I really need to decide if I’ll participate in Vlogmas this year. But I would have to plan that out and see what that looks like and they would have to be short pre-done videos. I’d never be able to keep up with it for two weeks doing the video and editing every day. I don’t think. I have some ideas for this but will have to think it through. But I’ve always wanted to do Vlogmas. I just think it tends to wear out creators and I also think the viewers get worn out too. The creator gets to decide how many days they will do it. Many do it the 1st through the 21st or even up to Christmas Eve, some do it for 14 days. I would not be able to do it more than 14 days. I need to research it more and see what is common. What do you guys want to see (if you watch my channel) as it relates to Christmas / Vlogmas?

OK gotta go finish promoting the video here. And then try to exercise and get ready for our excursion.

You all have a great day and a great weekend. Probably won’t be back here until Monday. Church tomorrow.

Hi Sonya, I enjoyed today’s video soooo much that it got me to finally organize and rearrange my home office!!! WHOOO THANK YOU FOR THAT! lol! I would truly watch anything you put out because it’s like hanging out with a friend. I love your family dynamics and the love you have for your pups. Maybe for vlogmas you can do the extra Wednesday video…just a thought. Don’t wear yourself out because we really enjoy your channel. Until next time…

    Still enjoying your blogs!

For Christmas / Vlogmas do shorts—you know short videos (that don’t need editing). Just do like the twelve days of Christmas. Each short could have a theme. Meaning of Christmas (Christian viewpoint), Decorating house (one room),shopping, giving, favorite Christmas movie , Christmas cookies, gifts, favorite Christmas songs, decorating Christmas tree 🌲, Christmas tradition, Christmas dinner just a snippet of each. This is just my thoughts.

It makes my day when I hear from you...
