Maddie’s Trim, Grandson’s Wee School, and Monetization on YouTube

Good morning! Ms. Maddie got a trim yesterday and she looks so cute. I think she has a little pep in her step, and a little prancing around going on. I had them leave some hair around her ears so she didn’t look like a male dog, but maybe I need to trim that up a bit. They may have left too much.

And of course the bandana swallows her.

And the grandson started “Wee School” this week. It’s like a pre-K program just a couple of days a week. And he loved it. He wanted to go back the next day.

I had tears when I got the pictures. Because he is getting so big. He is really already spelling everything (as his Mom and Dad taught him).

Everything is going well this week. I was a little put out on Labor Day because the day went by so fast. We also went to Walmart and going to Wally World seems to be a half day affair. Not to mention we got home and didn’t have 3 of our items. I even checked the bag station before we left on my side and watched the lady put her hands in all bags on her side, so I thought we were clear. I don’t know where that last bag was, but the cashier was there and handed it to us when we went back to the store. We had to go back and pick out the items again in the store b/c one was ice cream and the other was a refrigerated item. So it was a little crazy Monday. I thought I was going to get so much done and didn’t. I was, of course disappointed, but what you gonna do? Roll it right on over to infinity because even with a day off or holiday I have lists I simply cannot get to.

It’ll take me 2025 of being retired just to catch up on all my behind on. No new retirement projects til that happens! lol.

The next video is uploaded for Saturday. Just have to make a thumbnail. The editing has gone fairly well despite the busy week. And of course I’ve done nothing but work my FT job and then edit videos, eat dinner, call Mom, watch a show, and crash. Ditto every day.

We hit 4,000 subscribers overnight. I also have become monetized now. I opened a bank account just for the YouTube account – mainly to keep it separate for taxes and all that. This is all still in progress on getting paid with AdSense. But I did earn some $ in August that I should get around the third week of September. And September is going strong for that October check. I’m happy to be able to start this stream of income to supplement retirement. God has provided. I have already had a few sponsors to reach out too but I think I may have to hold back on that income stream for now. I don’t want to go over my allotted earning threshold while getting Social Security. I also don’t know what I’m doing yet. lol. But we shall see. I don’t know what to expect yet. We were planning on ZERO income from YouTube as far as “needing it” because it is not always going to be a dependable amount, but anything from YouTube is a cherry placed on top for supporting my hobby, offsetting the insurance, and maybe supporting a few things I want to do.

OK so, I need to get up and go to work today. They keep saying we have cooler temps coming but it is showing it’s going to be 89 today. So….where is it?
