New Car and Post-Vacation Recap

Good morning! Well, here’s the Post Vacation week recap that includes me getting a new RIDE! You can watch it here.

Well, it’s been a busy week. As they all are! It has taken me longer to get to work this week and longer to get home. I think I’ve been leaving later which makes me work later and then puts me into more traffic and back into a 50 to 1 hour drive, sitting in red lights 2 and 3 times in it’s cycle and lots of school zones. I’m so over it, but I also enjoy my morning time when I get up with coffee. I need just a little bit of time for me to get cranking.

I’m also not able to complete 8 hours of sleep. It’s more like 6 or 6.5. My body wants to wake up b/w 1:30 and 3:00 and go back to sleep until 6 a.m. I have to get up at 5:00 which usually means snoozing til 5:10 or later and then rushing. I’m honestly tired of it. I can’t go to be earlier because that’d be not much of a night either. So I just put up with this until retirement. Every day I long and pine for it. It will be here soon.

I am trying to remind myself to savor my work days as this is the last of them. And I will no longer be able to see my buds unless I go eat lunch with them. And I am trying to enjoy the last days of my cozy office with the heater on. I know that one day I’ll be looking back and although I will not miss the returns, I will look back at fondness at the routines I created and with proudness the things I accomplished, even if no one else does. And as with anything, there are a LOT of things I will NOT miss. The year is going by fast so the day will soon be here.

I’ve kept some distance and space with Mom this week. I have needed the space. As I predicted I was unable to do her return to Walmart. I’m no dumb woman. I knew it would be that way. When I told Mom on Sunday I couldn’t return it like that I was met with a hateful response to which she defended herself by saying she had license to yell when I don’t just “do what she tells me to” like a little child, slave, or helpless employee. She just wanted me to return it with no lip service, lol. Well, I knew it wouldn’t work and I wasted my time fooling with it. They wanted an email with the order information but it’s on her tablet and her account. So I have to try to get that info Sunday. I don’t know why she (and others sometimes) don’t give me credit for actually knowing how life works. Anyway, that is the update on THAT scenario if you read last week’s entry. I’m NOT ok with being treated that way. I will always keep a distance from anyone that treats me disrespectfully. I don’t allow it at home. I don’t allow it at work. And I won’t allow it with friends/family. Honestly, I don’t consider anyone that acts in this matter to be either. And on the flip side, I have some friends that I consider family and of course I am part of God’s family.

Quarter end is over! Yay! All done on time. And possibly the quickest I’ve ever done it. But it IS month end now so I have a bunch of monthly taxes to pay.

Anyway, it will be a weekend where I won’t get much done around here. I am heading to see my high school friends. Five of us are getting together today for lunch and I’m so excited! I’m picking up my friend Pam and we are riding together.

Anyway, I am needing to get going this morning. I’m going to try to leave an update tomorrow afternoon, b/c I have a few pics to post from this week. So see you tomorrow afternoon – after church, lunch, and taking Mom to get a grill at Home Depot. George is going to have to go for this one. But she’ll have to have it delivered. (I have no words, I’m just doing “what I’m told” ((lol)) as she now wants to grill out. And then she wants to get a storm door for her front door. I hope there is enough left to pay bills.
