A Wild Start to the Week

First of all Sunday:
Went to church and Zaxby’s, and to both Mom’s and my house so we could change clothes and get our flip flops. We got our nails and toes done. We opted for the upgraded version of pedicure as it comes with scent packets and scrubs and lotions and leg massages for $10 more- just $5 per leg! lol It was nice.
Then on to Lowe’s and then to Hagen- Daaz ice cream! And to T- Mobile and to the grocery store.
Then took her home and I got home about 6 pm and ironed my pants for the work week and worked on editing a video. Then crashed.
Then Monday:
All was normal til Katy called around lunch or so and said she was being induced on Tuesday. They went to the hospital as requested and checked in Monday night. They got River with his temporary adopted family before heading to the hospital .
Meanwhile George mowed the yard, got the car ready, got the dogs set up for boarding, talked to the cat sitter/house watcher.
I turned in PTO, finished work, had to get Moms bread she said she didn’t need Sunday but wanted it Monday since we’d be gone. So drive to Lebanon and took her the bread and my car acted up! I made it home and told George I was uncomfortable driving it. He told me I could drive his to work on Tuesday. He would use RAV4 FlinstoneMobile to take dogs to boarding anyway. He also, much to my surprise told me it was time for a new car.
Once home, I began packing, booked our hotels in Hot Springs for midway stay both coming and going, and finished the video editing, exported it and uploaded it. And bed felt good!
Tuesday
Katy’s pitocin started at 3:00 am. I went to leave in George’s car and the battery would not start. He had to take me to work. And get a new battery which was free as it was still under warranty. He took dogs for boarding. Finished the yard, went to the bank, ran some errands.
I worked my tail off til about 5:30 pm to get as much done so my boss would not have to. And organized everything for her that she would need to do. I’m gone a week and a half this time. I’ve never taken that long for vacation, but this is a long trip so we decided I would do this week’s payroll and then be gone all next week. And only have my boss do one payroll. Since I’m gone so long I’ll check my mail for PTO forms daily to forward to her so nothing is missed. But yesterday was stressful.
I was trying to do payroll but worried about and thinking about Katy and Cody and River and the new baby, Trace.
Word came that the baby was head down as he should be but needed to turn with head down instead of sunny side up. Naturally I was concerned but texted with family and friends and prayed that kept me from worrying too much.
I checked messages between payrolls. And for 2.5 hours we heard nothing. About the time I could not stand it anymore I texted my SIL’s (Cody’s) Mom, and she said Katy was about to have him. Immediately I was sent pics from Katy’s phone of the baby! Yay!
I’m waiting before posting on line til she officially announces. Or at least will give her a few days to post first. After 5 days I call it free game, lol. I did send pics to close family and family friends.
Anyway I could concentrate better once I knew everyone was doing well. And worked hard to get things done.
I told George I needed to eat out! So when he picked me up we ate Mexican at my request. I wanted fajitas and a margarita. It hit the spot.

The dogs were already in boarding and I missed sleeping with Maddie last night. I know Dexter will enjoy his vacation and pretty sure the girls will love on Maddie. But I miss her so. This is her first time that we have boarded her and she must be confused but they will take good care of her.
We are on the interstate headed west to Hot Springs! I’ll try to post daily. I won’t be editing videos so I’ll have time. I’m am filming of course so will have lots of editing when I get back!
Take care. Please say prayers for our travels and blessings/thanks for healthy baby and birth. We are so excited to meet and hold him.
