Well, here is part II of our Texas travel. A chatty vlog about a couple of “funny” things that happened there in TX and also a lot of feelings about quitting work and retiring. Slow Recovery from Flu, My To Do List, and Some Good Eats
Notice anything about these sheets? They have sloths on them. Katy gave them to me for Christmas. They are flannel and so cozy. I’ve been enjoying them the last two nights. I changed out of the flu sheets, lol. That is always refreshing. Speaking of the flu virus, I cleared up with the fever or so I thought, but it came back on Saturday at 100 and then yesterday at almost 100. That’s pretty low, but it was discouraging. A Blurry Week of Relaxation and Tissues
Happy New Year everyone! Well, it hasn’t been the most perfect first week of retirement, but aside from the flu it was, lol. It’s been a dream to hibernate in the house during the winter months and not have to get out unless I wanted to. I didn’t even think of the fact that I’d not left the house in a week, until this morning. It never ever occurred to me. It’s just been a blurry but fast week of rest, tissues, reading, planning, playing, tissues, watching, talking to dogs, putting up things from Christmas, cooking breakfasts, fixing hot tea and yes, more tissues.
