Mom’s TAVR Heart Procedure
Well, tomorrow is Mom’s heart procedure. Please keep us in your prayers.
I know that it is a risky procedure and I’ve been a little worried today. Today has felt so weird.
I’ve been trying to get ahead lately on the video for this weekend, for the laundry, and doing things in the house. I’ve been holding off “living life” until this over. We need fresh groceries but it’s hard to go fill the house with fresh food, just not knowing how the rest of the week will go.
George will be in/out of the house tomorrow taking care of the dogs. I’ll be staying at the hospital with Mom – at least for the first night. Usually after that she is set up enough to do 2nd night by herself. Seems like that first night is hard on anyone – reaching for things, getting settled, getting used to the bed, and buttons. Hopefully she only needs one night but sometimes two is needed.
I will post as soon as I can. If I forget, please just leave a comment asking and I’ll see it and respond.
I’m taking me a bag of things to do tomorrow to keep busy while waiting. We have to be there by 5:30 a.m. which means getting Mom by 4 and driving into Nashville. At least they have valet parking that early in the morning.
Anyway, we are as ready as we can be. And Mom is hoping to feel better. She’s had some problems this week with her breathing and has felt bad because of her heart not working right so we are ready to get this behind her.
Please say a prayer for us all and that we wake up in time in the morning and get there on time. I’m so afraid I’ll not wake up! I have to be awake by 2:45 a.m. to get a quick shower and we’ll head out by 3:45 a.m. Get her by 4:00 and in case we needed it we gave it an extra 30 minutes in case we can’t get to Mom (doors locked and code not working or her still asleep, or traffic.) We will set more than one alarm and I’m going to bed at 7:00 pm tonight. We are eating dinner at 5:00 p.m.

Sending up heavy prayers for all to go well and for God to guide the surgeon’s hands, for your mom to do well through the surgery and for the Lord to comfort and calm your anxious thoughts. Will continue to pray throughout the night, as I will awake off and on all night.
