Living Room Makeover

Update… having fun in Texas! Relaxing day yesterday. Katy fixed a Mississippi roast with carrots. Soooo good, along with mashed potatoes and pan sautéed zucchini.
A few plans today for a special lunch out. And some shopping and my SIL Cody is smoking a brisket for tonight I think. Tomorrow is church in Graham, TX.
My time here is fleeting.
I’m proud of myself for braving up and staying in guest house 1) by myself and 2) bunking with mice. lol They visit with me in the living room. I started talking to them and one started staring and listening to me. I told him he needed to move his family because traps will be coming soon and I want them to be safe. So I think he went to tell his family.
Hope you all have a great weekend. I’ll be flying back home Tuesday. Will try to update before then.

You need to start naming the mice. One must be George. Glad you are having a good time. Brisket! Love it. When I lived in TX my son would make it. Nothing beats it. Yes, time always goes quickly when visiting family.

I’m so pleased you are having such a lovely break….what is a Mississippi roast ? Sounds interesting and certainly Codes smoked roast would be right up my street….bet George would be enjoying that as well…..I’m sorry you’ve got mice and certainly hope you have reported them and got the stuff laid down so they will go soon….i think you are VERY BRAVE to entertain them LOL..

I think the recipe can be googled for the specific ingredients but mainly had a ranch packet and ajus (sp)? and pepperonicinis. It was so good. 😊
