A Little Relax Time on the Ranch
Good afternoon! We are back from church. The kids are taking their afternoon nap for 2-3 hours. So I’m back at the guest house. Whenever we are here we always give them their nap time, give Katy and Cody their time. And it gives me some time to myself and we don’t wear out our welcome.
I’ve also enjoyed coffee time. I did not see the mice last night nor this morning so I think the one mouse DID listen to me about moving his family immediately before they set traps out. I want them to survive but just not here.
They have been going to this fireplace behind the grate. But all quiet last night and this morning.
We had a great shopping day yesterday. We went to Walmart and I bought some PJ’s. Will show my haul in an upcoming vlog. We went to a couple of shops. At one place Abecca Grace, I bought a tote purse for $17. We went in Bertie and Olive but I didn’t see anything this time.
Cody smoked some salmon and deer steaks for dinner last night. It was delicious.
Found some birds on the back porch. So sweet.
Also to give you the ranch vibe, here’s a few shots. I’m not supposed to vlog the house or the inside of the house but I do vlog in the house so you might see some decor in back. It’s not my house and it’s not even a rental so beyond vlogging when I’m talking as the centerpiece I don’t feel comfortable doing. But here’s some ranch vibe.
Well I really just popped in to say hello. Tomorrow is my last full day. I will be doing some laundry, packing up, checking in for my flight, then travel day is Tuesday. We have to drive in to Dallas for my flight. I told Katy we have to leave extra early. Whatever time she left to pick me up didn’t work last time as she was late because traffic was so bad. So we have to leave extra early Tuesday and I can hang out at airport if I need to. I can’t miss this flight!
She has some errands into town tomorrow but not sure what we’ll get into. Tomorrow night we are having tacos and then she is going to a woman’s event at church. I’ll have a relaxing evening packing and finishing laundry and washing dishes.
So everything is winding down.
Mom is already asking when can we go and get groceries. We planned on Sunday as we told her to stock up for two weeks. There was a reason for that.
We have a busy week with plans to meet George’s sister Thursday and a July 4 event on the 4th at friends house.
Wednesday when I get back I plan to not go anywhere so I can rest and unpack and I told everyone that before I left.
Anyway it is what it is.
Signing off and we will see you guys later. Probably when I get back. And it might be a few days after that as I get back into old routine and catch up.

Thank you so much. Yes, i dread the travel day but will try to enjoy it. It’s relaxing here on the ranch. One more day left!

Morning from UK great to see your having a nice time. The surrounding area of where you are staying looks lovely. I find it so strange that the rules are so strict that there are so much you can’t video etc normally people are so happy that they have visitors they want to show everything …..I’m glad if I the mice have taken the hint and …. Gone …..I tried to tell the ants to GO! Not really believing for a second they would ( they were climbing up the outside wall;) they. Immediately! Turned round and hurried downwards I was so surprised by the time Mary turned to see it that they had disappeared…never to be seen there again I hope ?…but honestly Sonya I’ve never seen the like….so maybe it’s worked with the mice .LOL. Enjoy your last day, hope they boys are loving you staying with them and that hopefully you’ve been allowed to film them just to show George and as keepsakes for years to come….God Bless. Xx

Lots of companies have rules about filming and photos and social media due to legal and liability. It’s not uncommon in the US. Think of the ranch as a company. As for personal, I think my daughter did not want her family up for display on YouTube. She’s been tolerant of my blog through the years. YouTube also has rules about kids on video and all that, so I just don’t do it. I’m sorry if it’s an inconvenience or seems rude. No one is trying to be. We live in a horrible world of evil where people are up to no good. Everyone will just have to understand.

I am too except the mice infestation. I didn’t sleep good last night. I’m moving out and sleeping on Katy’s couch tonight as the mice are everywhere today. Bedroom, living room, kitchen and even pooped on fresh laundry. More poop on counters this morning. They laid low a few days but I can’t deal with this. They carry diseases.
