Creating Bucket Lists Plus an Update

Someone had asked that I explain how I come up with my bucket lists, so I did a little video on how I come up with my lists and how I keep them alive and going! You can watch it HERE.

Life Update

I have no idea where this will go, as I sit here sipping coffee with pretty much a blank mind. Lately I have been a little weary (she says after completing a long and hefty spring and summer bucket list). For some reason, the thought of doing all the things, has been a little bit overwhelming because of two little bitty insignificant things that have grown to be mountain size hurdles.

  • the puzzle hasn’t been started yet
  • the pajamas haven’t been hemmed.

Well guess what. I decided to erase anything extra from my week and not do ANY of those projects until I could get those things done. I have danced around these projects for months (years on the PJ’s).

I’m happy to say that eliminating other projects except these, got the job done. It’s mainly that these things haven’t been as important but yet they were becoming BIG and DISCOURAGING because they were still on the weekly list, sitting there all forlorn. But the puzzle is started now and the PJ’s are hemmed and they were heavenly to wear as they were warm on the night the cold front came through.

So now life can move on.

I have also set some time aside to read and to watch TV. I have been diving into UNLIKELY STORY by Ali Rosen. And started a Ree Drummond book about her life on the ranch with her cowboy husband (lol) and children. I read the first book so looking forward to this one. I’m only a chapter in. But it has started. The Unlikely Story book has really propelled me into it though right away. I love it when a book does that.

The mornings have been busy with Bible Study, World Bible School grading, some life coaching, checking Mom’s bank, leaving Facebook birthday’s, checking the weather, doing my morning exercising, starting the laundry, doing some housework, cleaning the kitchen especially and the allotted and assigned household duties of the day – whether it be cleaning ceiling fan blades, or dusting a bedroom. It’s all spread out over time to make it easy. By lunch time I’m usually at my desk editing videos or making thumbnails, or begging the Mac to hurry up, or begging Canva to load.

It is always time to take the dogs out or feed them. They take a chunk of the day but I love them so. I am glad we are here to take them out and love on them.

There’s a vlog coming out this Saturday but there is no video coming out next Wednesday. I needed a break from doing TWO videos a week. But I am doing a Diverticulitis Wednesday video on Wed 4/30. Several requested so I have made some notes and will film that this week.

George has the hall painted with the first coat. (I’m laughing at how big AI thinks our hallway is. lol. And we’ll move on to the dining room from there I think. I probably need to help do the taping at least. I was busy this week doing my own thing and I was afraid that would happen. But I need to help this next time. I’m afraid to help paint as I’m messy, clumsy, and have mishaps, lol. I’ll cause a bigger ruin when we are trying to make the place look better. But I can probably tape ok. Might could do the trim ok. I usually am the one to do the trim when we paint. But I’m nervous now in my 60’s.

Well, we are meeting friends for lunch today and I have a lot to do before I go. I need to vacuum while Dexter is at doggy daycare this morning and then get my shower. I was hoping to exercise too but I may have to let vacuuming be my exercise today. I’m going to run out of time.

Hope ya’ll have a great day. Here’s the video again if you read the blog and now want to watch the video. You can watch it HERE.

Well my love I’m exhausted !! I’ve just watched the making up of your bucket lists….You know me for many years now and I,ve always smiled at your …lists…was interesting to see how you use them…..if it was me. I know I would be so overwhelmed I’d never get started !! I rely on my good old diary that I suppose is the nearest to your bucket list I go…At the start of the year I add on birthdays , anniversaries, hospital appointments, that sort of thing….but then I only have to look at things that MUST be done that week….other things will be done as and when needed….or not. LOL. Have a lovely weekend ❤️❤️

Hey, just wanted you to know you are very good at writing! My old boss writes and he tells a sory and just keeps me plugged in and you write the same way. I get you on the pjs and puzzle thing. When I can cross something off my list, oh my gosh the sense of accomplishment is an awesome feeling. I feel better organized if that makes sense. Anyway, have a great day!

Aww, thanks for saying that. I really enjoy writing. And I have always wanted to write a book. But I’m not sure I have the total desire within me anymore. I just kinda go with the flow these days even though I’m trying to create the flow, it seems with all the things I want to do that I have not been able to do in so long.

It makes my day when I hear from you...
