Decluttering the Cabinets
Part of the fun of retirement is getting to go through your stuff and see what you have. You can watch it here.
This is our second pass as George did this a year ago when he retired but this time we did it together and got rid of a few more and reorganized the cabinets and made it much neater.
If you are a minimalist you won’t like this video. At most you might be amused though. We have a lot of cabinet space and we have filled it up! Who needs 3 shelves of coffee cups? Apparently WE DO!
So we may do everything to excess including coffee cups and drink glasses but believe it or not we HAVE got rid of a lot in other places! It’s a process and we let go of things when we are ready! That said, our cabinets are much more organized!
I suspect as you watch you might learn more about us as we look and decide and recall where things came from. It was a worthwhile exercise. Watch it HERE.

I loved watching your decluttering today… lol
I have the same issue, every cup as a special feeling attached. But I do need to share this with you, for years I’ve been collecting Christmas coffee cups ( I have 98 ) I love every single one.

Sorry you lost the comment. I think that happens when you go to the site from a different location instead of through the app. I’m also sorry that you didn’t enjoy the video. I think it’s probably because we are temporarily doing a DeClutter series and perhaps you like the vlog styles. As it stands, there’s those that like the opposite so trying to serve both audiences by doing vlogs and doing some household projects. I’ve gained a lot of subscribers with the household platform as well as the retirement status. You will probably like the next one better. I’m alternating regular vlogs and household cleanup vlogs.

I love your de-cluttering / organizing videos! I like everything organized and clean. It’s the purging that I have trouble with! Feels overwhelming sometimes as I have so much to do and a big house with a ton of stuff. I do not actually like minimalism or living in a half empty house! I accumulated so much while I was working 50-60 hour weeks and too busy to keep things de-cluttered & organized. Now retired it’s still very slow digging out! You seem to be doing better than me! Anyway keep the decluttering series going please!

I’m editing the next one now! 🙂 About to record another soon. No Wed video this week. I had to stop and do some other things and we were gone a lot in recent days. I have more videos taped than time to edit, lol. 😂 I’m not a minimalist either. I think I could be if I had what I needed, a few books, and a computer lol. I like the tiny homes lol. But I have no desire to make it happen unless we are Raving. And George won’t do that.

It’s a good start..we have too many cups and glasses too. You have motivated me to clean mine out too.
I struggle with getting rid of things we don’t use or need. We don’t entertain much anymore. Mostly just family.
