My Goals for 2025 in the First Year of Retirement

Hey everyone! Here’s the Goals video for this year’s 1st year of Retirement. You can watch it HERE.

Updates

Since the snow has lingered and winter has been frigid, I kept a few snowy pieces of decor for the table. In another week or two I’ll remove them and we’ll start giving things a Valentine, pink, and red look. I don’t have many things pink and red so it’ll be simple. I do have placemats and a pink candle. I will wait til after Valentine’s to bring in my greenery and plants and rest of the decor to make it look fresh and springy.

I’m trying to eat healthier these days but have held off the walking pad while I’m recovering. It seems like the walking pad on top of working in the house was making me feel worse and making the respiratory issues and congestion worse. So I decided housework was enough while I’m trying to heal with these antibiotics. I think it gets a little better every day.

Fun with Friends

We had lunch with our friends Don, Lisa, and Dillon in Lebanon yesterday. They were in our area and with all of us retired now, we could do a random lunch on a Tuesday and swap Christmas. Normally we do up a big event for ourselves with a theme and do Christmas. In recent years it’s been hard to focus on these with our Moms and with life’s continual challenges in general. Now they are moving away soon and will be a little further away. But we will always try to find a way to make some adventurous times. It was nice to see them again.

Well, today I take Mom to the doctor’s office. She said she doesn’t feel good. I hope we haven’t brought anything to her. But she already had an appointment this morning for a refill on her prescriptions. Afterwards, if she feels like it we are getting our nails done and then going out to eat at Cheddar’s. Then she had something she wanted to get from Walgreens.

She also wants to go to Lowe’s and I need to work on trying to clean up her counters and fridge at the house there, but that’ll have to wait til another day I think. We will not be planning to stay til midnight, lol and that would all take a while. She has another appt out of town on Friday and we make can do a couple of things that day.

Ok well, over and out. A busy week this week and I’m also working on the pantry / laundry room REDO video. This week is going by fast.

Here’s the video link if you need it again after reading the blog. Watch it HERE. And we will see you again here on Saturday, if not before. Take care. What you got going on this week?

You never fail to amaze me…..I’m sure you know that by now ……at how much you seem to cram into your lists and how you actually get through doing ….i live ach day as it comes and only place you might find …things to do list…..is in my diary which is written by hand …when I remember to put things in !! Anyway iot will be interesting to see what all you manage during 2025 Good Luck.
Well my 2025 has certainly got off to a flying start. Having just had my 80th birthday!! No idea how I reached this age. Mum used to say God has his plans for you…just keep going trust in him and whatever happens be thankful it isn’t even worse. She was told throughout my childhood not to expect me to live into my childhood, then my teens, twenties…then they gave up predicting and here I am having outlived Dad, Mum, and my two Sisters…it’s sad on one’s own sometimes but I just look rould the room that I’ve decorated with all my cards so full of love and friendship so I remind myself how very lucky I am and thank God for sending them all to keep me all together. SO. It’s. Night ni,got. God Bless. Take care xx
