Relaxing Travel Videos We’ve Been Holding Out On to Share

Well, I know you have waited a while to see what all we did in Texas (and Hot Springs). You can watch it HERE. It was a trip in which I totally needed to take a break and back off of social media and YouTube a bit as we took the final demanding plunges into the holidays and into my last days of work. Life got crazy as it usually does. I brought you up to date Christmas videos for December, then my retirement video, and so now I’ve finally had time to go back and edit our travel videos. They will come in two parts. This is part 1. Part II will be live next Wednesday Jan 8th. Next Saturday Jan 11th will be my video on how the first two weeks of retirement have gone, a chatty video as I’ve not been filming much since we have had the flu since Christmas Day and have sound (and looked) horrible. Oh….And the NY Goals video will go live on Wednesday the 15th of January. That is the plan anyway.

But I’m getting caught up since the holidays, even amidst the coughs and sniffles, to be able to bring you the videos. If I was working, I’d be so exasperated right now and in such a bottle neck with videos and New Year reorgs and activities. Right now my only roadblock is illness and a few technology woes as the Mac was shut down by a power surge last night around midnight and it’s taken me almost an hour to get it back and working again. ::sigh::

So Here is the video link for our Travel Week 1 _ Hot Springs, Arkansas and Breckenridge, Texas and Granbury, TX. I hope you enjoy. We sure enjoyed the week and a half trip.

George is waiting on me to get my act together, get my shower, get dressed etc, so we can head to Walmart. Getting groceries there today as I have to return Mom’s coat that she ordered, if they will do it for her. If not we’ll just have to donate it. She managed to send the order number so hopefully they will be able to do it. These returns drive me crazy but what can you do? We’ve had the flu and haven’t been able to run around and take her shopping for another winter coat so she ordered online but nothing fits. I ordered a better one for her on Amazon and it fit better but snug. I think she was keeping it. It might be time to go up a size.

Anyway, I’m closing out here for today so we can get on with the days errands. Pray for me as the crud is now in my chest. I don’t think it’s too bad but need to get a handle on it. I’m tired of being sick. It’s been a week and half and I’m ready for it to be over!

If you read to here and want to watch the video now. You can watch it HERE. Have a good weekend!

If you don’t feel better soon go to the doctor! You have to take care of yourself!
Say hi to George for me!

I enjoyed this Saturday mornings video with my morning coffee—my Saturday morning routine now!
Your trip to Texas looked absolutely wonderful. (Except for having to keep an eye out for rattlesnakes. 😁). Your grandson playing on a musical app in the car was so sweet, it looks like he might have George’s “music” gene?
Have a great week, and we’re ALL looking forward to the next vlog.

At last downtown viewing the 1st installment of yout Texas trip. It was a very nice Vlog what a lovely place that is that you stayed overnight. I like that area and loved looking at things for sale in the big Mall. It’s nice comparing prices of things against things over here. I think lots of things are more expensive than they would be over here. Now looking forward to Episode2 …I’m only sad that you are not allowed to show us you having fun with the boys but I know it’s something that Kate is not happy to have them shown and I admire you for accepting her requests I know you would love to share them with us.
Hope you enjoyed your birthday. I came back from a weekend birthday treat from my niece and husband we went to London and saw the show. Guys and dolls. It was FANTASTIC. Wish I still had my blog as there was so much to see and tell. But instead I’m just saying looking forward to watching episode 2 of the Vlog. God Bless. Xx

Yeah she’s not ever said anything about the blog. But I’m still careful because images can have tag locations on it. Things are very sophisticated now and children/people are going missing. So it’s something to take seriously. My blog gets little traction whereas the YouTube gets more.

I just recently found you probably in the past 6 months or so. We both have a lot in common with the stages of life we are in. You are a little ahead of me in the fact that you are retired, but we both have two grandsons and we both are helping out elderly parents. It’s a challenge managing the three “senior kids” in my life. My parents and my mother in law. They all want to remain in their homes, but we all know eventually that will change. I’m a list person too, so I enjoy seeing what you are up to. Feel better soon!

Thanks for reaching out. Yes it’s a lot more taking care of an elderly parent than I realized. Had to set a few boundaries. I resigned at trying to make her happy and resigned as social director. I just focus on needs at this point. Sad but that works best in this situation. I fail at pleasing and it hurts my heart.
