Pizza Night, Dad’s Fiddle, and Quarter End

Tonight’s dinner from TJ’s aka Mia’s (I think it recently changed over). We collectively ate half of each and have the other halves of the pizzas for tomorrow. It’s been so long since we had pizza. But oh my gosh it was good.

We dropped Mom’s car off today to get her brakes fixed after work. I think they need brake pads.

Work was busy today and I’ve made a lot of progress again, closing out the month end tax payments and now working on quarter end. I don’t have a lot going on otherwise – no new garnishments, not much paperwork coming in. To be honest it’s been slow business of late so that means not a lot going on in my office from a work week standpoint. But it’s good in the way I can concentrate on the month end and quarter end taxes.

Went out to lunch with the work crew as we have a new person in the office. We ate at Panera. It was nice and quiet in there today. Surprisingly so. Most people were there picking up their orders to go. I may have to go back there again soon. Only when I go out – it IS an expense and then also it takes time. I do World Bible School at lunch and if I can’t get it done at lunch I have to work it in at home. So therefore I was grading tests as we went down the highway (George was driving us after we left Mom’s car and went to get the pizza).

After we ate pizza, I did the thumbnail for this Saturday’s videos. Here’s a scene from this upcoming Saturday’s video, lol! I love how you can just screen shot from the videos and get a photo.

And here was another one! lol

And I’m doing this blog entry. As far as the blog look goes – I took away the feature vlogs which was flashing blogs up from a long time ago. I like the look of it but I think I’d rather the reader see newer vlogs more immediately. Someone said on their phone my blog looked like a comic strip. I think there is a section on the computer that says “you might also like these” (blog suggestions) and they are in block format. I didn’t see that on the phone version. But I don’t know. So far I’m getting good vibes from most everyone else. I certainly like it on my end. It’s cleaner and it makes me want to blog! lol

So over and out. We have just enough time to watch or read. I think I want to read to be honest.

George hung Dad’s fiddle next to his picture like Mom wanted. I think it looks good and Mom loves it there.

I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday. We will be getting some things ready for the 4th of July cookout. Plus we have part of the family coming to leave their car here and George is taking them to the airport. But they won’t be here in time for the cookout so I think George is coming up with a plan for that. I’ll go get Mom after that for our afternoon meal. Anyway, anything could change by next week. We are looking forward to the 4th though. I would love to have the 5th off. But I’m trying to build my PTO balance back. Got to have enough to go to Texas on in NOV and a couple of days to shop/wrap for Christmas. Plus you never know what emergencies there will be, so having to work the 5th.

How are you guys doing this week? Hope all is going well! Over and Out.

The format looks good. I hope this is easier to leave a comment. I have written messages only to have them deleted with I check to send them

As always good blog…think you might just have to be careful not to overlap to much on the Vlog…..Glad you enjoyed lunch out with the newbie in the office. I was a bit surprised reading that you were already thinking about building up your PTO days for Texas and Christmas ? I had thought hoped you would retire before Christmas …..hope I’m not wrong as it’s passed time for you retiring. My friend Peter actually retired two weeks ago ( 3months earlier than needed) and today he admitted how much better he feels already. He certainly looks much less stressed and tired. So I’m hoping that’s going to happen with you as well. Looking forward to a nice day out with my niece and husband tomorrow, it’s Mary’s birthday so should be a bit special. Take care. God Bless..xx

Enjoy the birthday! Yeah the videos are pretty much exclusive. Maybe a mention or a still frame here and there. I try not to cover too much of both. I will likely retire in December, but before Christmas. This has been the plan all along. But I’m not giving notice for sure until later and closer to time in case something changes.
