We are OK, But a Rough Weather Day

Little Bit says hello. I sat out there with him a bit this morning. How’d I do that on a work day? Well, I texted my boss that I totally needed a PTO day today. I stayed up almost all night watching these storms. They were all around us all night in waves. I had a few cat naps, but honestly was not sure I needed to be on the flooded roads this morning, especially half asleep. I was going to have to leave early anyway so I just took the day. I think I have barely earned enough to take another day.

I have to leave in a few so I’ll have to hurry. Here is the breakfast I fixed this morning. After I took the photo, I stirred it all up, lol. But it was pretty huh?

A family friend’s house received damage, but thank goodness no one was hurt. You can see where the tornado came through. This was between Columbia and Spring Hill area.

I left work early on Wednesday by about 30 minutes because I wasn’t to get home before it started. I saw this…

And I saw THIS….and that made me get myself home to Mount Juliet. As it was on our doorstep!

The afternoon before had some pretty powerful storms also. Here you can get a good view of a cloud with rotation in it.

So what did I do with my morning? Cat napped and listened to the news off and on while doing so. There was a fatality in our home town and I wanted to know who it was. It wasn’t someone that I know, but had the same maiden name as me. My sister texted to let me know who it was. It hadn’t been announced on the news yet, but my sister has connections, lol.

So, I worked on a thumbnail this morning, did a load of laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, played a computer game, scheduled Saturday’s video, did some filming on another video, held Maddie, and slowly got ready. And I’m drinking my greens. It’s a little taste of retirement I suppose. This morning I said “you know, I don’t have to push myself”. I was so sleepy and tired from being up all night, I didn’t have quarter end and was gonna have to leave early anyway so why go in when it can wait and safety played a big factor with all the flooding and ponding and wrecks and me being half asleep anyway. I’ll just double up tomorrow.

So I need to go and get to Mom and take her to this heart doc today and then we’ll go eat afterwards her Mother’s Day meal. I get my own Mother’s Day meal too. I want an Acaii bowl, and Greek food, and I want to go to a local antique/thrift shop. We are also going to go buy a TV tomorrow I think. Our Big A55 TV won’t even turn on. So we have to go buy another. I think we got it in 2018 or 2019 or so, but not sure. It’s a SONY. Anyway the 65 inches are a lot cheaper now so that is good. Everything seems to be happening.

The restoration guy is coming to work on the basement ceiling this next WED. He’s also installing some lights. The whole thing is going to be about 2,000 to put a new ceiling in, redo the lights, install, paint, new crown molding, and paint, and all that. George is going to buy the lighting today I think. He might do that tomorrow though while we are out.

Well, gotta go! Hope you all are doing well? What are your weekend plans?
