Doctor’s Visit: Diagnosis and Strategy Plan

Doc appointment today at 3:50 in Mount Juliet.
Diagnosis: Diverticulitis Infection
Plan of Action:
- Continue to take Augmentin for the five days and he is adding another 5 days to it to finally get rid of the infection.
- If that does not work within these first 5 and I’m still in pain though, I am to call him and he’ll prescribe a stronger antibiotic instead.
- If it comes back again, THEN he says we’ll do a CAT scan.
- Likely will consider also having to do another colonoscopy to determine if the colon wall is getting narrower. IF it is will have to cut that part of the colon out and infuse back together.
I really hope this works. So I’m to be back on liquids until pain is gone and then on to soft foods. And this is the “last chance” for this to get healed or we are on to serious business. So keep me in your prayers. The last thing I want is colon surgery and to die before retirement. I’ve known people that did not make it through these things. So this is how scared of it I am. I also don’t mean to be morbid. I’m just being honest.
They took my blood count and my white count was at 1300. He said it was up. So there was definitely an infection. I was surprised they did not take my temp. My blood pressure was a little 130 over 70.
Anyway That is the report. So I’m going to get off of here. I’m uploading Saturday’s video. I’m going to go watch TV with George.
Wed night and Thurs night I am taking Mom out for nails and hair cut.
Snow storm coming next week that will mess with payroll days. I see 2 to 3 inches on the weather channel. Anyway over and out. Thanks for your prayers.

Hi Sonya, glad that the Drs are at last taking things seriously and certainly continue to pray that the antibiotics work…quickly….and no further investigation has to take place…
Take care love. ❤️

Saying prayers, Sonya. Health scares are always the worst. I hope the extra antibiotics do the trick for you. Sending hugs!

I hope the antibiotics work. You have suffered too long. My Mom had a twisted intestine. One day the pain got so bad she had to call an ambulance, there was a blockage and they ended up taking out that part of her intestine. The good news was she got better. But it was very scary. At first, they didn’t know what was wrong.
I can’t believe they have let you suffer as long as you have. You need to get better so you can enjoy that new grandbaby that’s coming.
