Blogmas Day 23: Where’s the Joy?

I video’d during a rough patch. December was not as fun as I’d hoped. The older we get, the more I’m reminded of how fragile life is and we never really know how long we have. Yeah that’s a bit morbid for the 23rd of December, but when you can’t eat much more than broth, rice and potatoes for several days……you start to thinking and wondering and the morale goes South.

In the video, I think we finally come to some peace – maybe not rest – but some healing and even some JOY. You can watch it HERE.

Sorry I missed a couple of days of Blogmas. Just busy, tired, and needing down time. But we will be back strong.

Hi Sonya, thanks again for the latest Vlog. I do enjoy them but I get a wee bit upset to hear you’re not really much better in the diverticulitis problem. I think after Christmas you really will have to go see Dr. It’s ok you trying on your own to eat differently but until you have been told exactly why you are having so much pain so often it’s just going to keep returning. Perhaps you are celiac and once you’ve been tested then you can help with foods etc. if it’s not that it could be an ulcer, as we are not Drs we can only guess but that’s not helping. Glad George is now retired and is able to help a bit. The worry about Mum is not helping you either but hopefully in2024 that will resolve itself so hang on in there. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve I just can’t believe it I still don’t really feel Christmassy. We are at church first thing then going out for our Christmas meal a day early (cause we couldn’t book for Christmas day ). So till next time. Take care xxxx

I’m much better now as the videos runs about 2-3 weeks behind. I did two weeks this week to catch up. If it happens again I’ll go to my specialist and I also intend on doing some research. It might have been a bacterial situation- it’s been very confusing but the antibiotics cleared it up. Merry Christmas Sybil!

It makes my day when I hear from you...
