    A Big Week of Testing at the Hospital for Mom

    Monday, April 13, 2026 Well, this is the week Mom has her tests. Her big day is tomorrow. She has a CT scan and also a Carotid Ultrasound and meets with a surgeon and another heart specialist that work together to see if she is eligible for the TAVR valve replacement. She has had a lot of instructions which started today about drinking water, and what days specifically she has to stop taking meds and when she can start them again. And no caffeine after midnight. So I have alerts set on my phone to remind her of these things each day. I’m not very good at being my brain…

    Busy Productive Week and Mom’s Health Update

    Sunday, March 15 It’s been a good day today. A church day. We had a nice Sunday School class today as most of our crowd was there. Many have had surgeries, procedures, and a lot going on. Then we got Mom’s groceries and got Wendy’s. George and I got chili. Mom wanted the taco salad. Mom had been able to go through her closet some in the past week (amazing) and get a stack of pants that were too big for her. She put the capris all in a spot for me to see if I could wear them.     Sharing the Productive and Playful Moments of the Week

    Sunday, Feb 1, 2026 So glad it is February! Here’s a little splash of pink for you. The spring decor, greenery, and flowers that I put out during the ice storm, really helped boost some morale. I mean we were happy to be all cozy inside and doing projects, but it’s really nice to see the change of decor and have it mean that spring will be here soon.
