No, You Can’t Change Them

Good morning 😃. Here’s the video for this week. You can watch it here.

I will give you all an update post as soon as I can, but we lost my Aunt Martha this week. We buried her yesterday.

Everything is a little off routine right now.

Enjoy the video though. It’s a little different but still some blog footage.

Take care.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt.

I hope the gathering of family during this emotional time was supportive and enjoyable despite the unfortunate circumstances.

Prayers & Blessings to you and your family,

I‘m so very sorry for your loss. From your post on Facebook, she sounded like a wonderful woman.

Watched the video, interesting. Found I couldn’t comment on the YouTube page. Sometimes the hurt is too much to share that publicly although I think I’m getting better at acknowledging and setting boundaries. Do you ever feel like it’s your fault? I feel like there is something I did or didn’t do that maybe contributed? In my case, I’m considering it to be pre-narcissism, if that’s a thing… I don’t even know. I’ve encouraged professional help and the suggestion has been taken to heart which is encouraging but it’s a process.

Thank you. The narcissist wants you to feel guilty because then you work harder to please them. Nothing wrong with pleasing certainly but they are verbally and mentally abusing, selfish, entitled, never do anything wrong and suck the life out of the ones who are empathetic. It requires you to set boundaries so you don’t give up your entire life running after their every thought, every desire, every motive. It’s almost requiring you to worship them and the ground they stand on. I can’t explain it like a professional can. I just know they are hard to love and I think they are filled with demonic energy of selfishness and several others. When one exists it brings others: pride, lying, jealousy etc. I constantly have to be in prayer over it.

I never thought about it in terms of demonic or evil spirits… I know it’s „something inside“ them so I guess that makes about as much sense as anything. I hate to think of that for them. In what I’m dealing with, I think there is a lot of anger & hurt mixed in (caused by an ex-Partner) and I’m hoping that healing from that relationship will bring a calm & a new outlook for them. But there’s a lot of verbal abuse, sense of entitlement, why-me attitude, being thrown at the rest of us in the aftermath. It’s also hard knowing that some of the behaviors are most likely what made the ex say “Enough!” too. If they don’t lern to recognize & change it, I’m afraid a future happy, healthy relationship will be unattainable. That breaks my heart. I’m very close to tough love tactics but I know that will cause additional drama. I’m trying to pray.

It makes my day when I hear from you...
