Doc Visit: Post Appendectomy

Everything is fine. My blood counts are good. No infection in the body.

Have felt normal today. Still a little tender in spots where incisions are and where appendix was. But I’m more flexible, way less sore, and starting to feel normal.

I may try sleeping in my bed starting the weekend. But I’ll still sleep on sofa tonight.

I can tell my stamina is coming back 1 week out from surgery. I can’t believe it’s been a week already.

I’m starting to think more, plan more, think about food, get excited about things, feel like doing things, etc. So this is good.

Mom called me tonight with more that she wants me to do. She has a list. Much of it will have to wait til we get back from Texas.

Also when we get back I’ll go right in to another month end and quarter end.

I can’t wait til retirement. But til then everyone will have to wait their turn. There’s only one of me to go around. I’m almost up to par, but even at full capacity I still struggle with time, lol. Pick a number and wait in line til more time can be manufactured lol. 🙂

We are eating Chinese tonight. And have been watching Somebody Feed Phil. Love that show!

I can’t believe your doctor didn’t figure out what your stomach problems were months ago! You were suffering off and on all that time and the doctor didn’t even consider that it might be appendicitis? Cliff and I have just discovered Somebody Feed Phil. One of my blogging friends mentioned it, so we started in on season one last week. Cliff gets a lot of laughs out of Phil.

Yeah it’s been a toxic organ in my body I guess for a while. Just a myriad of errors. 1) I asked for antibiotics as I was trying to avoid surgery because he said they might have to remove my colon. So my fault for pushing for antibiotics to see if it was going to clear it. Oddly it would for a while. 2) I passed his appendix “manual test”. So he dismissed it when I said it hurt when he pushed right side of tummy. I told him one day my appendix would blow as it hurts sometimes 3) the pain kept darting left instead of right- my guess is nerve endings. 4) once I saw the PA instead of him and she thought it was kidneys lol 😂 5) we had just done brain and spine tests and nothing serious was found so he probably thought I was just a hypochondriac

I figured as much when I saw “Cliff” mentioned. I’m sorry it didn’t auto approve and post the comment and I didn’t notice it til now. I think anonymous posts make me approve it first. Hope you guys are doing well!
