Valentine’s Day and Roof Repair Issues

Valentine’s Day was fun. I was quite surprised to have received such an assortment of gifts. We normally do a card, maybe candy or flowers. But George surprised me with all this! I felt bad as I only had a large Hershey Bar for him and a card.

The orange gloves are for brushing the dogs! 🙂

We went to Burger Theory. I had been wanting a burger and we discovered Burger Theory. I used to go there in Phoenix. And we wanted to go somewhere we could an avoid the Valentine hype. My guess is most people in Mt Juliet don’t know this place exists. It’s in a hotel on a back street from the shopping areas and no sign from the road.

Dinner was perfect and just what we wanted. I had a bacon Swiss burger. The fries were a splurge. And hope this type of eating does not hurt me. It’s not good for me. But I cut the lettuce and tomatoes (the healthy part sadly as they are on the suspect list. Although in recent days I’ve had a couple of salads with no problem.

The fries were good. I usually avoid them. My tummy was full after eating though. We then went to BJ,s.

We bought a few things. Surprisingly I was not in the mood to shop but to rest as it had already been a long day. We left with $97.00 worth of goodies and headed home.

It was a good day.

The year end process is still going on. Just trying to enter an unbelievable number of w-2’s manually since for whatever reason we aren’t automated enough or we aren’t capable enough to upload by spreadsheet even. I just shrug my shoulders and go on with the carpal tunnel method of manual entry as that’s all I have. Eventually this too shall pass (certainly MY LAST go ‘round). and they will fix it for the next person. lol Meanwhile they are happy for me to carry the burden. My superwoman cape blows in the wind. lol When I’m not there to do it – likely someone will notice what a burden it is. Mark my words.

The roof situation is bad. The roofers have been non responsive. One guy came out and they dropped the ball from there. My husband meanwhile got up on the roof and did a sealant around the chimney where the leak is as it’s going to rain again tomorrow and the dang roofers have done nothing- haven’t put a tarp up and just letting it all rot.

Serve Pro comes tomorrow but if the leak is not permanently fixed what good will that do?

Also George’s garage door broke. Didn’t I tell ya the house will fall down around me? But I’ll eat well? lol

Maybe something will eventually be fixed. It’s a pet peeve of mine that it takes so long to fix things when they go wrong, look bad, don’t function properly. We tend to just live with it. Now we are so behind in fixing things that it’s all piling up. :: sigh::

If you do want to get it fixed, there’s no want that wants to work to fix it.

This earth is just sideways and in every way backwards!
