Blogmas Day 10: Busy and Productive

December is moving on. Saturday was truly a God send! It was a productive but relaxed day. We didn’t stop for much at the house but it was nice being home!
Here’s Elmo! He has pretty much dominated Little Bit’s front porch. We tried to run him off but he eventually overcame our hearts. Little Bit has moved to the back porch and George feeds him separately to avoid Male cat fighting.

Honestly it’s hard for me to tell them apart lol. Except Elmo has more white on his chest. Little Bit is older and has a few white hairs. He is 15 and pretty spunky still for an old cat!
We had bad storms roll through Saturday evening. The tornado on the ground went north of us. This took a couple of hours out of our day to watch and make sure we were ok. But then we realized damage was being done and some fatalities were occurring. So we wanted to see what was going on and were warning and checking on friends up that way. And several checked on us.
Thank you – Hollie and Lisa I, especially. Here’s my screenshot as the weather was approaching. We were lucky as the rough part went North.

Sunday brought both stress and a little fun.
We got up at 6. Took care of dogs. Got showered and dressed and out the door by 8 in two cars. We headed to church and did Sunday School. I love our class! Such sweet and supportive people. We all support each other.
Then we went to Publix and got Mom’s donuts and butter. They didn’t have but 2 donuts. lol
We also got our groceries too which was mainly for my breakfast and lunch at work. But I needed to get Secret Santa stuff. I was rushing through throwing things in my cart. We really should have done our shopping later. I didn’t get finished. But we had to go and get to Moms and then to life group.
We had to put our fridge groceries and frozen groceries in her fridge and freezer. While we did life group. Life group was over at 3:15.
The tree at the hostess’s house was beautiful.

The dessert was beautiful too!

Back at Moms George stands by her tree.
I had to have her sign her application for handicap license plate and placard and also sign for her rebate on city and county taxes. Once we got home I copied the documents and have them ready to go in the mail.
We got two little trees out and put those up and put her Santa wind sock out.
At home about 4:15 I had to iron my pants for the week and also do her paperwork as mentioned as well as World Bible School.
And after this blog entry I’m going to set up my video to edit this week. It’s a busy week and I really wanted to get going on it but didn’t get it done. I must make progress on wrapping this weekend. I’m running out of time!
I also have some errands to run this week for secret Santa, and for George’s Stocking stuffers.
Mom and I get nails done tomorrow. And I’m getting my toes done another night as mom only wanted to get nails done. I’m off Friday and George and I have some running around to do, but will be home to wrap them in the afternoon and he said he would help.
So far tummy is still good. Take care!
And I think this Santa is really Elvis! lol

Glad your weekend has gone quite well even if you are still rushing around !! I had quite a good weekend as well. Saturday started by going to Chippenham with Peter driving us up there as always for breakfast. He has his first while Mary and I go shopping, we had run out of Xmas cards so first stop was the card shop, then we went to Boots our chemist shop to get a few small Xmas gifts for the men mostly and my niece Beth she wanted short wellingtons that she has ordered herself but they are coming to me, so I can stuff them with a few bits and pieces. Then we popped into the £ store for few extras etc. back to the shopping centre ( it’s under cover so out of the rain it’s just tiny compared with your big malls ). We met Peter there and had our usual tea and toast. Home for rest. Then 1.30 out again to church Christmas Celebration for the village it went great around 45/50 arrived. We sang carols in between saying funny stories, poems, just entertainment. It went really well. Once home I set to and made a start on cards. I hope you don’t mind but I have not sent cards to any of my friends abroad it was just toooexpencive this year I’ve put a greeting on Facebook to you ALL…Sunday took a friend to hospital for a scan at 8.30, just dropped him of as I had to get back for my own church. That was a nice communion service..then out for great lunch with Beth and Max…once back home it was head down to get the cards finished etc. so that ends my weekend !! Bet you’d never asked now. LOL. It’s middle of night here hope I can get back to sleep now. Xxx

Thanks for sharing your weekend with me! I didn’t send out many cards. It is expensive. I sent to those who are at home and older than we are, thinking it would bring cheer. But not sending to all as the list has grown so big.

I saw on the news where 7 tornadoes hit Tenn. I’m glad it missed you and George. It looked really scary , all those homes destroyed and the devastation right here at Christmas. My heart goes out to those people who lost everything.
This weekend flew by. I wish time would slow down. We had lots of rain and hubby noticed we have a leak around the skylight in our sunroom. I’m off to buy a couple things at the market.

Yes it was scary and we could tell it was going to go north of us just in time to miss us. And the news cam caught the tornado on the ground. We knew it would be bad. I’m surprised it wasn’t worse. There were some fatalities and I think one or two were in a Mobile home.
Have a great week. I hope you get the skylight fixed easily.
