Daily Blog Posting and Today’s To Do List

I’ve kinda decided on a whim to start blogging daily again. I honestly don’t know for sure if it will happen, but I have been missing my daily morning blog. So I’m here today. It’s still after my Bible school and World Bible School.
I’m feeling the need to mix up my schedule a bit. I’ve mostly decided to wait til I get back from Texas but yet I sit here this morning typing. I think that I am in tune with myself more when I blog.
I have not felt great in the last month, if I’m honest. It’s just the tiredness. And I’ve always been able to push through. But there’s kindof a fierce tiredness that is just in my bones. Yet so far, the medical results are fine. I’ve not heard back from Mammogram (coming by letter) and haven’t heard back from bone density, and haven’t received the sleep test kit. My goodness, I’m not sure why you have to beg for insurance, beg for test results, and beg for anything in this life anymore. It’s crazy. I have no faith in the system and well, that was gone long ago and the virus thing, with its rushed and dangerous vaccines, just drove the nail in it for me.
Oh it makes me happy to just sit here and type. I don’t care if anyone is reading or not. This is for me and anyone who may possible give an attempt to care. But most everyone is just busy doing their own things.

I have 47 things on the To Do list, which is laughable. I can usually only do 34. It DOES include things like praying, taking meds, watering flowers, doing laundry and very menial things so a lot of them do not take very long. There’s some things I know I won’t get to but I leave them on there because sometimes I do have time to stretch myself and do more.
I know, it’s not a race. But here’s some of the things today:
- Laundry
- Set up my Apple Air Tag (new/for travel).
- Take BP Meds
- Water flowers
- Layout stuff for trip after laundry today
- Exercise for 30 minutes
- Arm and Upper Body exercises
- Take my Weight and put it on Notion (tracking)
- Shower and Get Ready (do I have to remind myself? No but I put it in where I want to in the schedule line up so I include it, lol)
- Floss – I do need a reminder for this sometimes
- Use a refreshing face mask. I want to do this once a week and I forget.
- Check on a friend I didn’t see at church yesterday
- Kitchen clean up
- Make Ninja Creamy Ice cream – I’ve been waiting on one of our 3 containers to become empty so I can make some ice cream myself. George has been making it. He made mint/green tea ice cream. Yum. It was good with a bit of choc syrup and fresh strawberries.
- Lay out ingredients for cooking today and any sides
- Clean the dog bowl and mat
- Dust my bedroom (I spread tasks out over the month so it’s not overwhelming to clean all at once and it works out great. These are set to repeat in my Apple Reminder app as I have designated, for example every two weeks, weekly, monthly and so forth.
- Empty all the little trash cans
- Take stuff downstairs that has built up to go to storage
- Shred pile – I do a shred event once a week until the pile is gone. It adds a trash bag to the big trash bin but we need room for our regular weekly garbage so I just do a little a week.
- Hang up some things on the wall in the laundry room that I bought at yard sales
- Check on my daughter’s location. Do I have to remind myself? Sometimes I forget about the Find Me app so I made a reminder lol. She gave me access to follow her on the iPhone. It has been so fun to watch her picture going down the road and to see where she goes. It’s not to spy, I promise. It’s mainly just amusing. She gave me access when they went to Florida, and I had a blast just watching it to see where they ate, etc. It gives me comfort and makes me feel like I’m with her in some format. Like if I see she is at Walmart, I have been there and I imagine myself there and when she is home, I can rest knowing she is safe. But it’s fun just watching her face travel down the road, lol. It’s like a game. SIDE NOTE: I have allowed her and George to follow me but George won’t let me follow him. He says it’s too “big brother like”. I think that is weird. Most families do that 360 thing anyway. He will NOT. Things that make you go “hmmmm”. So…. unless something turns up fishy, I’ll let it go. If I were younger, I’d probably be pressing the point. If I were younger I’d be pressing the point on a lot of things, but what’s the point of pressing the point, at this point. lol lol lol lol. <—–Yes that was FOUR lol’s. I do try to check on my girl in the app when I sit down and have time to check it. ANOTHER SIDE NOTE: Typically, George does not want to do anything I want him to. He likes coming up with things on his own. He’s individual like that so I’ll roll my eyes and go on. He seemed to be like that with other women in the family (except Katy) I’ve noticed. He does not like women telling him what to do in any format. To allow me to follow him would be to conform to a rule or expectation and he’s not good with conforming. lol. A trait I’ve noticed for oh- 30 something years. This is why I just mainly do my own things and go on. I lowered my expectations a long time ago sadly, to stay married. It’s good thing I like being individualistic myself and it suits me. And he might have taught me how to be. Maybe I needed to be. We just come together on things we have a unified front on. It’s complicated. I can’t even explain it. I don’t even know myself, but what we do now works, I guess, for the most part.
- Follow up on my bone density test and my sleep test
- New intro to the den makeover. I don’t like the current intro to my video. I didn’t look good or feel good and I think I want to do a makeover.
- Video edit
- Plan Mom’s birthday
- Take my Vitamins
- Take my extra supplements (I take things 4 times a day so they don’t all interrupt each other)
- Deal with the extra picture frames in my office (for storage and have to take the photos out which I’ll put in an album)
- Open boxes and put away anything laying about (any shipments that come in and just tidy the house and put things up)
- Do a mid year review of goals and check in with myself, lol. (Will probably be a video coming on the subject.)
- Tackle a To Do item from my desk folder (it’s things I need to do in Notion mostly, video ideas, etc.) The stack is so big I thought I could do one thing a day but I never get this far down the list, lol.
- Post an Instagram post. I try to post a story every day but sometimes I don’t get this done either.
- Remind George to change the smoke detector battery in the basement. It’s been six months.
- Cook my chicken pasta dish tonight
- Put oil on my cuticles (nails are brittle and cracking) and I’ll never remember if I don’t put on my daily (repeatable) list.
- Read (yes I have to remind myself to sit and do it, so that I will plan time for it – otherwise I’ll do anything and everything else.
- Do a Magic Eye (this is my coffee table book which I’m trying to do a little of a coffee table book every day). This one will be fun because it’s a 3D puzzle every day until finished and then I can put it back on the book shelf because I’m keeping it.
- Check on Mom
- Watch Sister Wives (every Monday since they post on Sunday night)
- Work on my iPhone apps on my phone and reorganize them because I added a few. I’m particular about what home page they are on. I need to set up my health apps appropriately and I want to start back using the Fitness Pal app again and maybe that will help me lose weight.
- Feed/Water for the cat
- Take Bed Time supplements
And those types of things are where my days go. I won’t get everything done but I’ll get a lot of it done.
I love being retired and I am so thankful for it. Ok I’m done and I’m gonna go exercise now. This has been fun. It was kindof a test. It’ll take more out of my day but it’s my favor at least and something I want to do. Wonder what won’t get done because I blogged today. I guess I’ll know by days end. lol.
Have a great day everyone.

Sounds like a busy schedule. I had a follow up appointment with dermatologist this morning. I recently had a PDT (photodynamic therapy) on my face to kill pre-cancerous cells. Not terrible but still not a pleasant experience. I was disappointed that I must have a second treatment. The result of sunburns when younger.
Men, can’t figure them out and don’t stress trying. Go with the flow. Here in PA we just call them stubborn Dutchman. I’ve concluded those that that need control are secretly insecure, but that is just my opinion. It is good you have your own thing going on. It does help keeping busy.
I bought AirTags for my last trip. Love them. I forget to turn them off when home and I get messages on my phone that my luggage was left behind! I share them with family only when traveling. Easier to know where I am at and how close to my destination. I also give them my airline and flight number to track the airplane in the air. I also get the updates for flight delays and gate changes. One time the gate changed three times. B6, B8, B17. I thought I was playing bingo.
I haven’t been feeling 100% either lately. Like you, tired. I attribute some of mine to lack of sunshine. We’ve had nothing but dark and dreary days. Another thing is what I eat. I must stick to bland diets. I got so hungry for lunch meat so got some and made a sandwich. Big mistake. No processed food. I only drink water, one cup coffee in the morning and lactose free milk. Never, ever soda. It is toxic. I already use a cpap. It does help but some restless nights it is annoying. I now have a Smart Watch that tracks my health. My HRV has been erratic. I really feel for you when you say you are tired.
Retirement is great, however getting older is not.
I really like your Blogs. If you get time to do them, fine, if not, I know you are busy.
Have a good week.

Thank you soooooo much for your comments today. I’m really kinda discouraged right now by a few things. So it feels like someone is hearing me and understanding me. Frustrated that’s it’s been hard to change weight and diet, frustration at health numbers, and I can knock my other goals out the park.

Hi Sonya! How fun that you’re going to try daily blogging again! I’ve missed it!

Hi Sonya 👋 reading your blogs as I can and truly enjoy them because you are so relatable. Men suck!!! I’ve had to lower my expectations just to stay married this time. I’ve been married three times and realized the grass is not greener on the other side!!! I’ve also found things to do and keep me busy but mostly realized that my true fulfillment comes from God and he never lets me down. As for my health, well feeling very tired due to overweight, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism and menopause 😳 trying to make better food choices for sure BUT I do treat myself to a Diet Coke once in a while because (Well just because) love you girl and keep in keeping on 🤗

Reply to your daily blog. Nice to see it again…but horrified by how much you’ve got on your ever longer …list LOL. No wonder you get so tired ..I’d be tired just reading it and then I’d have to rest before starting to do anything LOL
Do love you though. Bye 🥰

I didn’t get but half of it done. I kinda rested yesterday. I rolled it over to today, lol Won’t get it all done today either but I’ll get the things done that mean the most.
