My Walking Pad, Going to the Dump, and a Horrible Valentine’s Dinner

The video that shows and proves I’m embracing retirement at its fullest. Even though I am wondering where the day goes, I’m also getting things done, one by one, as planned. You can watch this one HERE.
OTHER UPDATES:
Well, it’s been a good week. I’ve kinda revised my plans to work on video editing and getting the videos scheduled as far out as I can due to our TX trip. We are packing and getting ready to head out soon. The neighbors lined up for cat feeding and watching over the house. Bless them because it’s a lot to expect for being gone almost 2 weeks.
I did enjoy a lunch out with friends from work on Thursday and we had Chinese buffet close to work. I met them at the restaurant so I didn’t really get to see anyone there at work. But fun to catch up with everyone.
George and I got to go to Longhorn and do a Valentine’s redo and it was much better! Thanks to my SIL for the gift card! It was so good. Longhorn has never failed me for a good and reasonably priced steak (in this day at time).
I don’t really have much to offer. It has been quiet and I’ve been mainly editing. But I did get my hair cut which you will see in upcoming vlogs. I cut it on a whim. Took a chance at a walk-in. It’s pretty short but I think it’s what I needed. The other cut had grown out and I’d cut it twice so about the third time of trimming on it, I need a reshape and short is good. I’m finding I don’t want to spend much time on my hair anymore. But I liked it longer for a while (longer for me is “almost” shoulder length). With our travels upon us it helps us get up and out the door more quickly so George, surprisingly, agreed with me on that point when I got home. I think he liked it.
Anyway, off to get a few things done. It’s March 1. So exciting, but that means it’s the day I track a few things. Also a planning day. Also doing a couple laundry loads. A very relaxed day though. Excited for Texas and to see Katy, Cody and River and Trace! Trace is almost walking. And we’ll get to be there for his 1st birthday! 😉
Take care everyone. Talk to you soon.

I wanted to yell at yall to get up and leave that restaurant! We married on Tybee in 1998 on the beach. The next night we went to dinner at what was then their “nicest restaurant” ,it is closed now and I forgot the name. The oak something. They never waited on us. It was our honey moon! We got up and left. We felt snubbed. We went to this little lazarro creek joint Cafe Loco? It was fun and a hit! It’s closed and a new place there. It was right where you get on a boat for dolphin cruises. The next night we went to the crab shack under the lights in the oak trees with random cats walking around. We are so overdue for a Tybee visit. But it has changed alot. We usually go to north beach grill and The breakfast club and just pizza one night. Simple. Fun. We’ve ridden bikes all over the little neighborhoods and crashed on the Fort Pulaski trail. Im Taking care of father-in-law 3 full days and nights a week and rotate with my husband and sister in law. Vacations will have to wait. Enjoying your vlogs

Love Tybee! Love eating in Tybee and we love the little grocery there. AJ’s was a favorite. Love watching the sunset and dolphins. Good memories from Tybee! Some of the best memories ever!
