Shopping and Eating in Breckenridge! What we do when here!

We ate and shopped in Breckenridge yesterday. Headed there at lunchtime. Had a burger from the Waterstore! I think it is funny that it’s a water store- RO Water which I think is Reverse Osmosis water, is mostly known to us as a great place for breakfast burritos or for lunch burgers. Their burgers remind me of Wendy’s only thicker and with a crusty grilled effect. And layered as a home grilled burger with fresh veggies.

We are in line now for a breakfast burrito as I type this lol! 😂

We went shopping a bit too after the burger! We went to Bertie and Olive (I think that’s what it is). I Bought Mom a little something. The sale rack was hard to get to. And not enough room to stand in front of it to peruse through. So I gave up and window shopped. It’s more fun at Thanksgiving when everything is 50% off for one day. But it’s crazy!

Nothing for me this time. But we will be back for Thanksgiving! 🙂

I did take a few pics of gift towels with a message!

I really have wanted to make a sheet cake for a long time. I started to buy the towel just for the recipe but why would I when I can take a pic!

I haven’t made this yet with my internet saved recipe because I’ve not wanted to buy a sheet pan, lol. Especially just for one time. But if I like it, it might be good to make for church events or whatever.

But maybe I will order a pan and make one. But not before I make George some chocolate oatmeal cookies which we were too busy to make at Christmas and then too stuffed afterwards to eat sweets again.

This one made me laugh! How true is that? lol 😂

Then to Gebo’s! It’s like a small local Tractor Supply. Sometimes you find good clothes and socks and canned goods. George looks at the guns.

No purchase there this time. They had less stuff.

We hung out at Katy’s when the kids were up. Someone brought dinner which was a tater tot casserole with ground beef. Really good. And a banana cake- especially good!

I finished my book. It was really good. Kept me glued! So I’ll start a new one from my kindle app.

Also have some car research as we have to buy a car this week. Looking at Carvana vs a new car.

Well, the day is underway as I type this. So I’ll close out so I have something to post tomorrow. 🙂

Have a good day everyone.

I’ve so enjoyed your blogging this week, Sonya! I just love when you go to Texas! I can tell it’s such a special place for you. I’m glad you get to go back for Thanksgiving this year. I remember this past Thanksgiving was such a bummer for you, but the next one will surely make up for it.

Enjoy the rest of your time with Katy, Cody and the boys! I’ll be saying prayers for safe travels home for you.

I used to work with a lady that made that Texas Sheet Cake very often and i gained several pounds because of it. Hope you are feeling well. Enjoy your time with your precious family. Love ya. Save travels home.

Yes. We have bought 2 cars there and Katy got hers there. But the price of a CRV there used is almost the same as a new one. So… we think we may go new and get newer stuff and a nice warranty and no mileage. But Carvana is wonderful. We loved the process.

It sounds like your trip is going well. March/April is one of the best times of the year to visit Texas. The heat will start up here soon. Hopefully, not as bad as last year but I have my doubts. I had to get a new car last summer and I went to Toyota in College Station by Texas A&M Uni. They had pretty decent deals and the lowest interest rates I could find at the time. I do have a friend who used Carvana for her car recently, and she was pleased. I hope your mending well! ❤️

Yeah I’m mending great. The glue fell off the three incisions while in TX lol. I can move, bend, and lift more now.
I started to suggest we buy a car in TX while we had time but it’s better to get it from home I guess and ride home in one car. I’m just excited.

I’m glad recovery is going well. That’s great! I’m sure you’ll find your favorite new car soon! While I really didn’t want a car payment after 14 years, I’m so happy with my new ride. It definitely was time! Good luck. I can’t wait to see what you decide on! Hope you are safely home, too!

It makes my day when I hear from you...
