Fun Day in Breckenridge, Catching the Sunset

He’s a cutie! My new little grandson. And he opened his eyes and looked at me!

We went to a garden center yesterday in Breckenridge as Katy offered to get Cody’s supplies for his garden so he could work on it after work. And we made a trip to Walmart for overnight pull ups for River. All a quick trip to meet feeding schedules and nap schedules.
Once we had lunch and everyone down for naps, George and I headed back over to guest house. George left to go play Frisbee golf. I watched a couple of YouTube videos that I keep up with, and read some. When he got back we played pool. I was better than I thought til I gave up my focus and George told me my method was not working for me, or not the usual method but I can’t unlearn what I learned in eight grade at Sheila Brewer’s house. lol 😂

I thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon sitting out on the patio with a glass of Chardonnay. I watched a road runner catch butterflies. I played with it by making squeaking noises, which seemed to amuse it.

Katy had arranged a photographer for the kids and so we stayed out of the way as not to distract River Roo. Then dinner arrived, my favorite- spaghetti!
The sunset began to happen so I ran outside as it was the first time we’ve seen a sunset since we arrived.

Cody worked on the garden. He planted cucumbers, squash, and tomatoes I believe.

Mesquite trees. Katy’s landscaping flowers.

It seemed like no time it was time for bed as we all had to get up early. The baby has an 8:20 appointment in Abilene (an hour away) that we are heading to as I type. So early to rise for all!
Below you see the wind turbines on the way to Abilene. And we have now arrived to Abilene. So I’ll go. But it’s fun blogging daily!

It’s been really lovely Sonya watching you as you relax and smile. What a difference when you’re not working. It’s going to be fabulous when you retire. Hope the baby’s check went to plan he certainly looks a lovely healthy baby. Take care. God Bless xx

Yes the check up is over, bilirubin count good, he is gaining weight, and all is well.
Yes retirement will suit me. It’s time. I’m glad the year is going by fast. We are also coming back out here in November! So lots to look forward to.

The picture of you and the baby made me happy. It’s the best feeling holding a grandchild. Does he resemble his brother when he was a baby? He looks like a healthy baby. enjoy every moment. They grow too fast.

You look so relaxed and healthy now! So nice to see it and almost hear it in your posts. I think it’s going to suit you so well to live near your daughter and SIL and the babies.
Enjoy the rest of the week! 🙂

Yes, I hope we can one day! We have Mom so… not sure how and what or when but it’s hopefully the plan. We figure God will lead us.
